Perfect replacement part for daughter’s 2003 Jetta GLI. She got a quote from local mechanic of 1K+ to replace, which is likely fair, but daddy can do it for nothing. The original plastic piece likely had a small leak because the small side nipple stayed in the hose when I removed, but this wasn’t her primary leak (see water pump review). If you have experience putting a VW in service mode (pulling out front bumper to make room to work), it’s not too difficult of a job. If it’s your first time, it might take a little while, but you’ll get it done.
