Roof Ridge Vent Exclusion Guard Cover

I have small rats getting inside my attic due to lifted ridge vent. Those evil creatures are not easy to catch, and they keep ignoring rat traps. Ordered peak protector, problem fixed. No more rats after I poisoned the last rats living in the house.By installing the peak protector, it corrected some area of my ridge vent that was lifted. But I admit I bought some extra equipment for this project. I purchased some ¼ hole hardware mesh from the hardware store, cut, bent the mesh, and cut again to be the same length as a piece of peak protector cover. It took me half the day just to cut and bend the ¼ hardware mesh, and half the day to install peak protector. Don't install it alone, have somebody to help you. This job is easy but requires intense workout on your back and a lot of pressure on your feet. peak protector is the only product I found for offering DIY project, which is good. However I do not know how efficient it would be without the ¼ hardware mesh I installed. Anyways thanks to peak protector, there are no more rats in my house. If you do this project make sure you also check each end of your ridged vent if there is an opening for rodents as well.It would be nice if peak protector add pre-cut ¼ hardware mesh to their product. That would offer the ultimate ridge vent protection for homeowners.

Appears to be well made and easy install if you don't mind climbing on roof. Initial concern was potential for roof leaks due to 100 screws used for installation. My installer placed caulk over each screw head and so far no leaks. Install was last March 2023. I highly recommend.

Love that this product is made in the USA. It’s very sturdy and easy to put on. Directions are simple and the whole job was completed by 1 person in 1.5 hours. Highly recommended.
