Adds more shade to patio umbrellas

I was skeptical to buy this based on the reviews but becuase I have a small patio I didn’t really have another option for additional shade other than this, so I decided to go for it. People are right it’s not going to completely 100% keep the sun out, but it keeps it out enough. It does something I’m very pleased with is that it acts as enough shade for the areas that my umbrella cannot cover. It’s enough coverage for my personal preference, and a great solution for smaller patio spaces like mine. It is worth the cost, I recommend. My only small complaint is that the bottom doesn’t have anything to weigh it down so it’s not moving around so much in the wind, but that’s an easy fix.

As others have pointed out, this is a mesh screen. Setup is quick and easy with "suspender clips" that clip directly onto your umbrella. It does not block the sun 100%. It does however cut down the heat from the sun significantly. We have late afternoon sun that usually bakes us. This cuts down the heat so that we can still sit outside. All things being equal, I do wish it were a denser mesh, and that is why I rate it 4 stars. It IS possible to double it up on the clips, so you can sacrifice some of the full-size height of it (it is VERY large) and double it up by having half the height. This works great. I'm happy with the purchase.
