The book covers all aspects of the car without getting into minute detail. I liked the section on the history of the vario roof as this is quite a defining aspect of the car. It was good that the diesel is covered, as this is the best seller in the UK by the look of the used market. If anything is missing, it's a little bit more about the ownership experience - what's it like to like with day to day - something more emotional than factual.

Having purchased a 2015MY 250d last week I found this book to be an excellent source of information on the background and development of the car. It also has a lot of practical information for a new owner. If you have an SLK this is a must buy!

Great book for those interested in the history and engineering of the SLK and specifically the R172 variant. The author has done an enormous amount of research and provides detailed background info for owners.

Unless you have US specs car or have owned an R171 before forget this book it refers to them alot

Very informative, pleased to find a definitive book on the most current SLK with so much depth. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any SLK owner!
