Professor LeMenager has written a welcomed addition to the energy/extractives/culture discussion. She positions the work reaching out from personal >professional>historical. A must read for anyone interested in oil and culture. I especially love her idea of petromelancholia -which I used in my book to describe the feelings of loss and disruption experienced by communities post-extraction.
