Smart UV Checker UVA UVB Meter"Ultraviolet" ray for Smartphone Android and iPhone

Well for now I have to give this a 5. It was easy to setup on my Moto phone. I seems to work fine. I tested the device on light coming through windows on March 8 at noon at latitude about 43 N. Outside with high wispy clouds the reading was 7.0 out of 11, so high. I would expect a high reading. Indoors through the windows the reading was 2.5 in the low zone. I also used my light meter to do the same. Outside the meter gave 78.5k lux inside 45.0k lux. So, the UV sensor had an inside to outside ratio of 2.5 / 7 = .36. Conversely the light meter ratio was 45.0 / 78.5 = .57. What does that mean exactly, not sure yet. However, if they were both the same ratio then I would say the UV sensor was just a broad spectrum light meter. On the other hand the two rations are not really that far apart. So where do I go from here? I'd have to buy another UV meter to make a comparison and I probably won't bother.

It doesn’t work. It does not detect UV in spite of being exposed to it.

It arrived very quickly, that is nice. The fact it doesn't come with any sort of protective cap means I'm sure it won't last long being lose in my purse.

The first unit I bought unfortunately has never worked, so I had to return it for a refund. I gave it a second chance and this time I have a functioning unit.It was easy to setup and take first measures in a few minutes using my Android phone. If you can bring it close enough you can even detect the small amount of UV emission from a compact florescent lamp.Although there is no way to know if the measurements are correct or not, readings make a lot of sense. For example I was able to compare several sunglasses in terms of their UV block levels. Also it is a great visual indicator of when and where to avoid strong sun effects.4 star is for not having separate measures of UV A and UV B. I am not taking the first faulty unit to the account for this rating.

The actual sensor seems to work nicely on my android phone, however the item is not as pictured."NO KEYRING INCLUDED" means that not only is the ring missing, but so is the end-cap, so there is nothing to protect the sensor.I suppose I should be happy it works, but I expect items on Amazon to be delivered as shown.This is disappointing.

It works. It's sensitive and convenient.I'm using it on my iphone7+ without audio jack. The lighting charge port - audio jack converter works for this and the app is easy to use.Just happy with this product when all the other UV meters on the market are overpriced and oversized.

Used this UV check with my sons science fair project. It work very well, gave consistence reading and very easy to use with app.

Like so many others that have reviewed this product, it did not work, but since some people seemed to get it to work I took a chance. It gave sporadic readings on my Nexus 5X and Lenovo tablet. The first running Nougat (Android 7.1.2) and the second running Marshmallow (Android 6.0).
