Really good quality screen- sturdy!

We really like this design (so much that we bought the same item for our city apartment and our country house) and it looks great in our fireplace. We are glad to own it. However:1. The Pilgrim decal is glued on not perfectly straight (see photo). It's on the back of the screen, so isn't visible, but the protruding corner of the decal is sharp and cut my finger.2. Inside the box we found the screen, feet, assembly hardware, and a card thanking us for our purchase and requesting that we pen a product review (glad to oblige). Not included were any assembly instructions.3. Fortunately, we found the assembly instructions on the company's website (see photo attached of the instructions and the leftover bolts). The instructions referred to 4 bolts, whereas the hardware package included 8. I guess too many is better than too few, especially as the holes for the bolts were so badly drilled that half the bolts wouldn't screw in. This implies that the manufacturing process has imperfect tolerances and/or does not include a QC step where drilled holes are tested.4. The rear feet have a mystery hole in them that isn't mentioned or pictured in the instructions (see photo attached). There are a few other mystery holes, but none have screw threads in them, so they can't be for the extra bolts.In summary, a nice item and a lazy production process. I would buy it again nonetheless.

Very clean design, easy assembly. Finish is low sheen for a subtle appearance and sophisticated look. Works for contemporary and classic interior design schemes, we are interior designers and needed a screen for our project. We were surprised at the quality for the price, see for yourself. We did alter the support leg length by cutting off one inch off the back so the screen legs would fit on the hearth stone, still very stable. Our fireplace is unique in that it sits about 6-7" above the finished wood floor and has no hearth, so finding a screen for it was very difficult. We ultimately placed this inside the firplace, about 3" back from the stone face of the wall that has the fireplace in it. Our fireplace is very deep, so there was plenty of room to safely located the screen. It looks great & nearly disappears - which is what we were looking for - when viewed from across the room. The mesh is small enough that sparks don't escape through it, but we have had a few embers float between the mesh and the outer frame. The feet are clunky to install, but again, we only placed the feet on the backside, so they disappeared once we placed the screen inside the fireplace. Other than building something custom, this closely matches our 'minimally modern' style & doesn't distract from the texture & lines of the stone wall.

Very sturdy, easy to assemble. Slim profile and simple lines. It was perfect for what we wanted. A little expensive but much more affordable than permanent doors.

It fits my fireplace perfectly. Only issue is the feet seem to bend easily and then it doesn't snuggle up against the hearth. To correct you just push down with your foot and it fits right back into the opening.

I know it said gray - but I wanted black so I bought it anyway hoping it would be a dark grey. It is not. But we spray painted it black and it is now perfect for my modern home.

I am finicky. This product met my expectations in terms of build quality and exceed my expectations in how it looks. I recommend.
