I want to love this sink. I was swayed to purchase this item when I was renovating my kitchen by the thickness of the stainless steel, Kohler brand quality, and some of the reviews I read on Amazon. The one significant drawback (functionally) that irks me daily is the sink’s drain approach angle or lack thereof. In other words, food scraps seemingly refuse to enter the drain strainer unless manually pushed by one’s hand. Water alone won’t entirely do it. Installation was straightforward, thicker gauge steel gives the sink the sound quality one would expect. Rust is no issue even after 5 years of hard, daily use. The sink isn’t cheap, however, with a few tweaks, Kohler would have a real winner on their hands.

I love the size of the sink, and purchased it because it was the largest single basin sink I could find that fit in a 36" base cabinet. A handy plus for installation was that about an 1/8" of the lip of the sink rests on the sides of the base cabinet. What I don't love is how easily it scratches and how bad the scratches look. This sink has a bright mirror finish that amplifies the scratches. I wouldn't have bought it had I actually seen it in a store. Our last sink was a Blanco Siligranite II, and its surface still looked like new several years later when we sold our home. And a warning if the "free" products included with the sink are important to you. If the countertop isn't precisely cut to the template provided by Kohler, you won't be able to use either the utility or drain rack. Our granite fabricator cut a smaller opening so that the granite overhangs the sink, and neither of the racks fits. I

Nice looking sink, no problems with noise, and we like the bottom grate and divider. Two significant issues that cause the 3 stars: bottom needs more slope, and it scratches very easily. Would otherwise give it 5. With the lack of slope, food waste just sits on the bottom of the sink. Even when I spray behind it, it is more likely to run to another part of the sink than down the drain. So I am constantly pulling up the grate and chasing food around the sink, and still have a junky bottom. If you use anything other than a washcloth to clean your junky bottom, it will scratch. Even lightly using a Scotch-Brite pad -- which I've used on a lot of other stainless steel sinks - has created scratches. Maybe this is something I should have known or read, but still . . . .

Love my sink! Only downfall is that food tends to not drain down to the center as it's pretty flat and not much of a slope, which I prefer it that way. So if you are using the bottom grid, you have to lift it to scrape the food down the drain. Just an annoyance but other than that, love the bigger size and I'm glad I did go with the larger one.

Sturdy and sharp-looking. I'm used to a porcelain sink, so still getting used to this harder surface. The one thing I don't like: The grate on the bottom - designed to keep from bottom from scratching - gets in the way of quickly cleaning the surface. But it looks very snazzy.
