Well, who can afford solid Gold anymore at $1500-a-troy-ounce? We're left with having to buy Gold-plated jewelry now.As such, I can, and do, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Snake Chain Necklace from Gem Avenue. It is exemplary in every way: Diamond Cut, Colour, Sparkle, and Shine. I'm used to 14- and 18KG, so wasn't sure if I'd like this necklace, but, putting it on next to my solid Gold necklaces you could tell no difference whatsoever.I wanted these to give as gifts to my daughter and her girlfriends for high school graduation. I wear a lot of jewelry, albeit in a traditional-style, (what my daughter and her friends would call old-fashioned, *lol*), but they have all commented on my jewelry... how pretty my pieces are... numerous times.I talked it over with my daughter, and she felt that they would all appreciate a more traditional piece of jewelry for a more 'grown-up' look now that they'll be heading off to college in the fall.I only bought one at first, (this 20"-- see PICS), because I wasn't sure of the quality of the necklace, but have since gone back and purchased quite a few more in the 16" length for the girls, (I'm keeping the 20" for me, *lol*). We are adding pendants to their Snake Chains as well-- small pearls, hearts, and whatnot as well as Magnetic Clasp Converters, (sold here at Amazon too), to make it easier to put-on and take-off the necklace.I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. You will be too, *s*p.s. Gem Avenue's 'Singapore' necklace is also a stunner... very sparkly... but a more 'casual' look.

Looks good. It's thin and light. I started wearing this today. But since I plan to wear it everyday, I'm afraid the gold plating's going to come off pretty fast.Was expecting some certificate or piece of paper with the necklace about the quality of the silver or gold coating, but just came with the receipt.

I was looking for a pretty chain to compliment a white jade pendant I had purchased for my mother-in-law's birthday. Because the pendant itself was delicate I wanted something with a little more style, rather than a simple chain link. This diamond cut snake chain is more than I could have hoped for, and at this price, simply marveous! The chain arrived securely packaged and well before the scheduled time. I would not hesitate to order from this seller again. Well done!

This looks great and I’ve worn it constantly for the last couple weeks, didn’t change color or leave marks on my neck but today it just broke : /

Beautiful necklace, loved wearing it, but unfortunately it broke within 3 months. I guess I am hard on necklaces because breakage is my number one problem with necklaces, tarnishing being second.

i would buy more of these as the need comes by.the length hangs nicely on her neck. the pendant i got slid right over the hooks.and as to people thinking its plated,,,,,, WELL BUY ,,BUY ,,BUY is all i can say these are great and the gold market so highwhy would you spend thousands on a neckless when these are so close to it and NO WHERE NEAR THE PRICE.she liked it so much she wants more.lol.

Arrived tarnished, I cleaned with special cloths I owned for these type of chain and it lasted a day, no luster and bad gold over sterling job...

This necklace discoloured onto my skin after a few wears. It was good length though so if you buy this, wear it over clothing.
