Great book, bad condition
This book seems like they perfect future study for my Jr. high girls. It's about 10 pages per chapter front and back. 6 chapters, so we will be dividing the chapters in two. I love the questions and I love the quizzes. I feel that it will really captivate them and that they will be able to relate this story to their current situations as a teenage girl. I buy the used books frequently and usually am pleased with the condition I paid 8$ for this book and I'm glad it's just a trial for me to review. It is blank which is great, but the binder is a bit too worn for my taste. I feel that 8$was a bit high esp. when I've got full novels good under 5$in better condition. Maybe this was just a fluke from this bookstore but this was my experience.

SO good!!!!!
This is SO GOOD! The author adds some humor, fun little additional thoughts in the topics and great questions and little quizzes that the teens love. I’m using this alongside my Bible in a small devotional group that I do with older teenage girls. I wondered it first if it would be too “young” for them, but it has been an absolute perfect addition. While it’s definitely geared more for girls, I’m even tweaking it and using it at home with my own 4 boys. This is truly GREAT!

One of my daughter's and I did the James study by Pam Gibbs. We enjoyed James for how deep she drew students into the text. Esther seems to be a bit lack-luster in comparison. She does provide some good and interesting facts to help with a deeper understanding of some terms in scripture, however, I feel more like I am just glazing the top of Esther instead of really diving in deep.

Teaching guide in the back is awesome.
I like the study for the teaching guide at the back, but some of the content is not appropriate for the girls I am teaching. It talks about things that my 13-14 year old girls don’t know about yet.

Love the book of Esther
It has some good lessons that relate to daily life. I don't like that it mentions oral sex several times. That didn't need to be mentioned to get the point of the story or subject matter. I use a thick permanent marker and black out unnecessary sexual references.
