I purchased the CharJen Pro Ultimate Dock 8-in-1 dock 3 weeks ago in May 2021.Customer service: When I shop, I look for good customer services. I stay away from those companies that reviewers complained about poor or non-exist customer services. CharJen Pro provides exceptionally good customer services. When I emailed them, they responded within hours or a couple of days.Design: I really like the compact design. I can hold it within my palm. It is 2” w x 4 13/16” L. It is light weight and the material feels like substantial quality plastic, it does not feel like cheapy flimsy plastic. Some reviewers said it is made of metal. But, it does not look like or feel like it is made of metal. May be CharJen can clarify this.I had been shopping for a dock with an ethernet port. There were a few times I lost my WIFI connection due to bad weather in my area. And, sometimes due to my internet provider’s problems. Even though, losing my WIFI did not happen often, still, it is very frustrating in the midst of using my computer and suddenly losing WIFI connection. I have not tested the ethernet port. This ethernet port will be very handy when needed.This dock has a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes with all the necessary ports and yet is in a very compact design.My HP computer’s USB C port is on the right side. The right side of my desk configuration is full, I have to cram the dock into the little space I have. I am able to make it work. Thus, a longer, 24” cable would work better for me.Performance: This dock works well with my HP Windows 10 laptop. I tested 5 ports out of 8, two USB 3, HDMI, headphone jack audio, SD card port. I used the SD card port to transfer thousands of photos and it completed the transfer in a very short time. I did not count the minutes it took, but the speed was amazing fast. It outperformed my expectations.A special comment on the headphone jack. It worked exceptionally well. I was just about ready to throw away my two different earphones because the audio was very weak and unclear when they were plugged into my computer. But, when I tested these same earphones in this dock, the audio came out loud and clear. The difference is like night and day. I don’t understand the reason for why the difference. If someone reading this post knows the reason(s) that causes the difference, I would appreciate them letting me know. Thanks.In conclusion, I am happy with this CharJen Pro Ultimate Dock. It has all the necessary ports one would need in a portable compact size. It performs well with Windows laptop computers. The speed is powerful. I would highly recommend this product.I do have one suggestion for CharJen Pro that they consider making a dock with removable cables with different lengths.

I bough it mostly to use it with M1 MacBook air and my Acer WG240Ys 144hz monitor ,all works perfect support full resolution even up to 165hz, don't need to unplug and replug each time to detect external monitor same with sleep mode-works like charm :) .There’s also a USB-C PD port which can be used for up to 100W of pass-through power, or to extend connectivity it doesn't get worm as cheaper docks. There is one little downside maybe it's just mine one, using original apple power charger it doesn't holds as tide as it should be in Usb-c port, it is loose and need to be plugged in tightly or be careful while moving with MacBook or dock.In conclusion, I am happy with this CharJen Pro Dock. It has all the necessary ports one would need in a portable compact size. It performs well with Macbook air M1. The speed is powerful. I would highly recommend this product.

I've been using this device regularly for 3 months now. This works very well. It's a great size and a quality build. I use it for transferring photos and video from the V30 card in my A7IV and I get maximum read and write speeds for the card. I also wanted to use it to transfer a bunch of files from my One Plus android and for some reason the usb-c port only charges and does not recognize it as a file device to be able to transfer files. The usb-c does put my phone in fast charging mode. The UHS-II works great however, there have been a couple of times I have had to re-insert the SD card because the reader did not detect it. I would say this is the only area where build quality could be improved. It is rather loose compared to any other SD card reader I have used but once it's recognized its fine, never disconnected. Overall for the price this is a very decent dock if you are connecting to the recommend 100w usb-c port.

I use this all day long with my MacBook Pro for work. It drives my 4k monitor @ 60Hz, supports my wired gigabit ethernet, USB-C charging, my keyboard/mouse receiver and drawing tablet. Functionally I've had no issues with it.But it seems cheap in some areas:- Overall build quality doesn't impress. It has a plastic-y feel and creaks when squeezed.- Mine gets very warm in use. It definitely puts out more heat than my MacBook Pro (odd).- The two USB A ports are tighter than I've seen on any other device. I move my keyboard/mouse receiver daily between computers and I often wonder if I'm going to break something because I have to pull so hard to get the receiver out.- The USB C cable is an awkward length. It's not long enough to give a comfortable distance to the laptop, especially with many other wires plugged into the hub. I had to spend more to buy a USB C extension cable to place this octopus behind my laptop.- Three USB A ports would definitely be better than the two provided. With a keyboard, mouse, webcam and drawing tablet it's not enough for me. I'd gladly trade the micro SD slot for a third USB A.Given the above points and the fact that this isn't a low cost item, I'm giving four stars.

I bought 2 units was expecting a quality Item for that high price, but after 9 month, both devices started having failures, was relying on the good reviews 342.68 $ wasted! don't go for this very disappointing what shall i do ?
