Is this toy good for a 12 year old?

This toy is for much younger children. I bought it for my three year old granddaughter. She absolutely loves dressing up and playing pretend exploring in the yard.

how long is the strap on the cross body bag?

Very long and it’s adjustable like a camera strap. The string on the binoculars is very very very long I keep saying I have to change that

Do the magnifying glass, binoculars, and compass actually work?

Then magnifying glass and binoculars do work. The binoculars aren't high quality, but a nice kids toy. I have no idea about the compass. The flashlight is cool.

Are the vest and crossbag included in the package?

Yes, all you see in the main picture are included
