Does exactly what I need to do, has been reliable and audio quality is okay.
Pros of this device: - It is lightweight and fits nicely in the hand. - The construction feels sturdy, I think it is aircraft aluminum. - There are nice clear instructions, and labels on the back of the recorder - You can password protect your recordings - The audio quality of recordings is quite nice. Note: played through the speakers of the device itself you don't get the full range of sound quality - It is easy to hook up to a computer or cellphone with a USB-C cable (included) and charge the recorder or transfer data from AND to your recorder. - The display is nice and easy to navigate. It might take a bit to familiarize yourself with the buttons, but they are highly intuitive. - There are lots of settings, including equalizer presets that do make the audio sound better, especially if played through a headset or external speaker. -The battery life is off the charts good, and if you do charge it then it takes no time at all to get fully charged. Cons of this device: - Not sure if password protecting the device encrypts the data on the removable microSD card. I would need to verify this before placing into the pro category - Although there is a speaker supposedly on the front of the device. The speaker/driver is somewhere in the middle and it feels like the audio is pushed down maybe through a channel. The quality of the speaker is okay, and with equalizer presets it sounds better, but this not for audiophiles. - When using a 3.5mm input or external headphones or speakers, the ports can be finicky. This is not exclusive to this device but it is something to consider. You might spend a minute or two fooling around with the plug to get audio in or out. - If you go from the device being off to turning it on. There is a delay of 15-20 seconds as it boots to be able to record. You can leave it on and it doesn't use a lot of battery, but if you turn it off and on, you have to wait for boot and if you have password, you cannot use it before entering the password. Something to keep in mind for those who need to record quickly. - This records in different audio formats, but if you import music it prefers WAV files although an MP3 will work, you may have to navigate to it manually through the file browser, whereas WAV files will show up as MUSIC in the music folder and AUDIO if put in the audio folder. Conclusion: I use this device to record reminders, song ideas, writing ideas, etc. I use an AI program to convert the audio to text and organize it. It works really well for that. The audio is crystal clear when imported into my computer and it is high quality with good highs and lows. I would definitely recommend this to people looking for a recorder. I would have like to have the option to view text or maybe song covers, but it is what it is and it does exactly what it says it does.

Small But Mighty Digital Recorder That Has It All!
I needed a reliable recorder and this delivers. First off, it’s compact and has a satisfying weight—not too heavy, but it doesn’t feel like one drop would turn it into junk. It’s the Goldilocks of recorders: just right. The buttons, while a bit of a mystery at first, are clear and well-placed. I’ll admit, I skipped the instructions (who hasn’t?) but after a little trial and error, the setup was surprisingly intuitive. Having MP3 as an option is a game-changer. It’s such a simple feature, but it makes life easier. The microphone quality is also excellent. Even when recording in a slightly noisy environment, the sound was crisp and clear. Plus, the battery life is impressive—it just keeps going, even after hours of recording. It’s not perfect, though—getting the hang of the buttons took me a few tries, and that’s coming from someone who tinkers with tech regularly. But honestly, if you take five minutes to read the manual (unlike me), you’ll probably have no issues. All in all, this recorder reliable, easy to carry, and feels like it’s built to last. I’d highly recommend it. It’s the kind of tool you didn’t know you needed until you have it—and now I can’t imagine being without it.

Works well; High value; Manual not clear; Have a few questions
My first impression of the Garmay TF32 is very positive. Things works as I expect. The feel is solid and well-finished. The buttons are well arranged. The menus are well organized and in color, which helps readability. The included removable microSD is a nice touch. I’ve made only a few recordings, but they are clear and satisfactory. All in all, I like it a lot. I’ll mention a few items where it might be even better. First, there are many settings, but the manual is very basic, and the print is very small. Fewer typos and misspellings, a more typical American or British use of language and tone, and more detail would help. The YouTube video is a good idea, but the text there could be improved also. Second, I don't know if it records voice in stereo. The two shiny protrusions at the top certainly suggest stereo microphones, but in every situation when I'm recording live voice, both L and R lines on the volume meters move identically, even when the sound is coming from only one side. Third, I don't know if it has automatic volume control during recording ; the "record sensitivity" menu item offers only a set of 7 fixed levels. Fourth, I’m not clear what the "sound control sensitivity" setting does. Fifth … a minor point … the charging connector is microUSB, not USB-C. It works fine, but that connector style is somewhat out of date. All in all … a very good product at a very good price point.

This thing is AMAZING!!🤩
I got this wonderful recorder to mainly record the audio Bible, and I was nervous at first after ordering it, because the price seemed too good, and I got like a $7 coupon, I believe. So, it ended up being only $33. I was so impressed when I got it, however. I love the menu options. They are very easy to navigate. This thing is incredible. You can listen to your recordings without headphones 🎧 (or with), which is really cool if you are maybe jogging, biking, kayaking, or just driving, and you want to just have your recordings play out loud with you on the go. Maybe you recorded some of your favorite music or some good lectures, books, etc... Whatever you are into, this thing will get the recording perfect. SD card already inside. You're good to go, and the volume range is extensive. It's not like other products that have 9 (or less) volume notches. This thing goes up to 31 for volume!!!! It gets loud, and the sound quality is crystal clear. I have even dropped it, slammed it into cabinets and doors by accident (I wear it on a lanyard), and it is like unphased. I love how it lets you create file folders for your different recordings, and separates voice recording from music in separate sections. It will put itself to sleep, while still being on, conserving power, which you can adjust the sleep timer. It doesn't even

Great rechargeable recorder, but a bit heavy to hold
I've used the recorder a few times and I am satisfied with the quality. I was surprised at how heavy it is to hold. I suppose, that's because it has a rechargeable battery. It is about the same weight as a cellphone. Not buying batteries is a big plus, but you are limited by needing a usb cord for charging and needing to remember to charge it up. I haven't used it long enough to judge the life of the battery charges. It was easy to use the first time. My voice picked up well and clearly. A feature not found on some recorders is button labeling on the back. That will probably wear off, but by then the user should be able to remember what button does what. That feature is certainly nice to have while learning the ins and out of this recorder. Since I've only had it a short while, I can't speak to the longevity, but it is a convenient size that can easily slip into a shirt pocket, purse etc. It is about 1.5 wide and about as long as my fingers and can be easily held in my hand. With my short time useage, I'm pleased.

Many pros and cons; its value will depend on your needs
I wanted to replace a Sony pocket notes recorder which I otherwise liked for two reasons: (1) the display was practically invisible outdoors, even out of bright sunlight (2) no built-in speaker to check recordings Garmay pocket recorder summary: PROS (1) 1 x 1 inch display is visible in all but the brightest outdoor conditions. For me, the lack of a bright display is a deal killer for some other makes and models. If you only use the device indoors, this might not be important to you. (2) Metal case -- seems pretty rugged (3) Built in speaker for monitoring (4) Very large memory with slot for SDHC card (I haven't checked if the "3343 hours" claim is true for low bitrate mp3, that's about 140 full weeks of solid recordings). CONS (1) Not stereo. The device records stereo MP3 or WAV files. However, in all cases the left and right channels contain identical data. (Verified by opening files in Sound Forge Pro, and subtracting left from right channel, result is always a file of zero samples.) (2) There's no mic or other audio input. (3) Start delay. There is an 8-10 second delay when starting recording for the first time in several days. If you use it every day, the delay is 1-2 seconds. This doesn't affect my particular use, but others have mentioned it. (Also, there is some minor noise generated if you press Save while recording, it seems best to press the Pause button then Save.) (4) For both MP3 and WAV formats, at sensitivity levels of two or more, average level speech causes overloads in the audio signal. (For instance, out of 11M samples, 81000 are overloads.) I haven't checked sensitivity level 1. (5) The sensitivity of the WAV format is so great that handling the device, or any low frequency energy in the environment, appears in the file. (6) After about 6 months of average use, the legends are wearing off the buttons! (7) A very minor nitpick: there's a bar graph display that is active when recording or playing, but note that the values of the bars have nothing to do with the signal level or frequency content. In fact the display animates in the same way even when you are recording or playing silence. I do like the convenience of the recorders that have a retractable USB-A connector built into the housing. This one depends on a USB-C cable. I don't know how well it would work for recording music live. I think it would depend on the instrumentation, amplification, and acoustics. I only use the device for note taking. For the terrifically low price of this (I paid $37 in 2022) I can highly recommend it subject to above comments. (Minor updates and edits 2024-03-15)

Perfect for the work of a professor
I injured my shoulder a few months ago in a car accident and this recorder saved me from typing all day at a computer and causing more strain on my shoulder. As a professor this came in very handy! I was able to give my students oral feedback on their assignments using the Garmay recorder. It records for long hours without having to charge it and the sound quality is great. It is very simple to download voice files to the computer and to email them. I love also being able to read long documents in bed or wherever is comfortable and just use the recorder with its pause feature to ruminate over a thought before recording. It allows me to create single voice files as notes on a reading without long periods of silent air time between thoughts. I also love the cute, small size of this recorder which fits in the hand very easily. My only wish is that I would have bought this sooner. This recorder has been a godsend!

FREE TO GET 32GB TF CARD, 16+32=48 GB(And Amazing the seller friendly support !!!)
8.6 Update comments: I have bought four voice recorders from GARMAY, because it is very easy to operate and the menu is concise, which is very suitable for my work. My last purchase was July 25, 2021. This time, their product and 32GB TF card were only put together. In the previous few purchases, the TF card and the recorder were sent separately. I contacted their after-sales email ( Or WhatsApp), they immediately sent me 4 32GB TF cards!!! The seller is very friendly support, they did what they said. (PS: I will repeat the purchase here. The seller told me that starting from August 2021, their voice recorder will come with a 32GB TF card. And you don’t need to contact them to get it. This is really great. Value for money. Thank you again for your friendly support.) --------------------------------------------------- It's worth the money, amazing service! I bought two voice recorder pens here, but I contacted the seller because I didn't deliver them in time, and the seller actively sped up and re-sent me two free ones. Last but not least, the seller also sent me two free 32GB TF cards. This card is free for everyone. Just contact the seller and include your order number and address. I have bought a lot of recording pen, I think this is the most convenient and practical, sound quality is the best, I am very happy , highly recommended!!

Great sounding recorder with a decent speaker in it - but one minor caveat
For such a small recorder this thing really delivers great sound quality with simplicity of use. The speaker in this recorder surpasses every other 'pocket' recorder I have ever used. I have given it 5 stars for the superb sound quality, both in recording and playback, size is smaller than I expected but that is no bad thing as it is the perfect size for a top pocket in a jacket. Now, the one minor caveat..... This one made me chuckle, the 2 'mics' on each side are actually fake, yes, they are only for show - the 'real' mic is in the centre, if you look carefully you can see the mesh, multiple tests have confirmed this, does it matter? Probably not, it looks the part and the quality of its delivery and simplicity of use outweighs this minor 'decoration'. All in all, a great little recorder that punches well above its weight, highly recommended.

Mal funcionamiento
No tiene capacidad ni para una sola grabación. La corta a medias aunque parece que sigue grabando, pero cuando te vas a poner a escucharla, no oyes nada más que las primeras palabras
