Excellent, Easy-to-Read Range Finder
I love Nikon products because of their great lenses. This range finder is no different. It quickly zeros in on the target, and provides large, easy-to-read numbers, plus the slope. Many range finders struggle to focus on pins without the little "crystal" device on the top. This one has no problems at all. Out of the three different range finders I've had over the years, this is the best and easiest to use.

Nice rangefinder for the money.
There are many things I like about this rangefinder and a few “improvements” in my opinion that might make it even better… then again maybe not. lolThis is all purely subjective to me.Pros: Very light weightExcellent optical qualityGood carry case constructionEasy to gripStraightforward menu systemEasy slope on/offThe scanning feature is nice for hazards or making sure you don’t hit the 4’some in front of you.AccurateAuto shut off, one click of the read button and you’re back in business.Nice easy to read red display w/ adjustable brightness. Black displays are difficult for me to see in shadows or against trees in the background. No issues here! Can be used for more than golf. I wouldn’t hesitate to take it bowhunting.Cons:It’s very light weight. If you’re a little shaky like me it’ll be somewhat difficult to lock on the flag at greater distance or in high wind.Build quality is somewhat suspect. The plastic doesn’t feel cheap but definitely not confident if it was dropped on a hard surface that it would survive.A lens cloth would have been nice.Flag locking isn’t great. I always “measure twice, cut once” and that seems to work best. I tried other rangefinders at “the store” and it’s about even with all the other brands. It will read distances beyond the flag but it’s pretty obvious when it’s wrong. If you have large hands, trying to hold steady while trying to get distance with both hands will take some getting used to. I wear a L/XL glove (more on the XL side). There’s a couple other small things but I’m sure you get the idea. Overall I’m happy with this rangefinder in this price range. I learned to play golf before rangefinders. You look, judge the distance and club, play on! I bought this one to help better learn about my game and improve which it’s doing well at that!

Clarity, Accurate & Easy To Use
I had my mind set on a Bushnell at first but I went to my local PGA Super Store and started playing with several products and models such as Bushnell, Blue Tee’s and of course Nikon. All were really good but the Nikon stood alone with its clarity. On the course, this range finder works extremely well. Picks up the flag quickly and the yardage is pretty much spot on. However, It can get a little shaky if using one hand due to not having a stabilizer but will lock on to the flag with no issues. It must be noted, I’ve had trouble locking onto a flag in heavy fog.Majority of these range finders are about the same with yardages plus or minus a yard. But, It was the clarity of the glass that I was sold on.I would definitely think about purchasing this product again.

Terrible product
Maybe i'm just unlucky with a dud unit but this RF terribly slow at locking-in a reading and fails to lock 50% of the time on the first try. Last week a tried a freinds' new Callaway 300 pro which is cheaper, has a clearer display, and locks target every time almost instantly. I really confirmed I made a bad choice!Yes i changed the battery and yes the lenses are super clean.I do not recommend it, this product is expensive, bad visibility in Florida bright sun, and is slow against the competition.

Shaky and hard to lock onto target
Went with Nikon over Bushnell because of their camera lense background. That turned out OK as the visual is very crisp and clear. Also, price point is not bad for the quality. The problem I have with this range finder is it is very hard to lock onto the flag to get a distance. It's almost impossible to get it to vibrate. The other issue is it is very shaky. Impossible to use just one hand. Have to use both hands and really concentrate on keeping it from shaking.
