Since then I have purchased 2 more sizes and I have been happy with all. They heat up FAST and this 1" size works great for beach waves on shorter hair (my 1.25 in barrel was too big to make a good wave since going shorter). One negative to this one and all that I have is the slide power button is constantly getting slid to the off position and I won't realize it and pretty soon I am wondering my my hair isn't curling. That is a design flaw that many mention and it is definitely true. They just need to make it a stiffer slide so it does not move at the slightest touch. Just keep that in mind when you are curling.
