The Holy Prophet Elias in the Mt Thabor where the Lord has ordered ravens to bring him food, one of my favorite representations of the old Testament, hand painted in a small almost square wooden panel with the traditional technique of byzantine iconography. Copper gold is covering the background -something that would gradually give the artifact its characteristic patina or a somehow antique look that will make the artifact even more beautiful Additionally the icon comes tenderly protected in its individual handmade felt bag, together with some instructions how to care for it, a little sachet of herbs from our garden in Crete -and our typical icon favors - Ready to be given as a gift.
