Ear Cleaner

A friend of ours has the parents of our staffys. We have two from her litter. Her dogs always have ear infections and have yeasty smell coming from their ears which is so gross. This stuff works perfect! It keeps their ears fresh from ear wax and yeast and we haven’t had any issues with smells or unwanted staining and our fur babies are white. Definitely a must have for your fur babies.

So far seems to work really well.

I use this product as a general ear cleaner on my dogs. It has a strong peppermint smell, which may not be something everyone likes. It's great for daily or weekly cleanings, but it's a more gel-like ear cleaner. Not a rinse. One of my dogs has a chronic ear infection and this doesn't quite do the job when I need to really get the infection rinsed out. Still a nice product and I like the smell better than other plastic or chemical smelling products.

Effectively cleans my dog’s ears safely and hasn’t caused her any irritation. The directions say to place the bottle at the entry of the ear canal and squeeze 2-4 drops inside, then gently massage the ear. I’ll also put a couple drops on a cotton ball and rub that on the inside of each ear to wipe away any residual dirt. This is really easy to use since the bottle opening is a bit like a squirt bottle, which minimizes any mess. I feel safe cleaning my fur baby’s ears with this ear cleaner as it’s pH balanced specifically for dogs, as well as that it’s made with 99.7% natural ingredients, (such as witch hazel to remove excess buildup, and peppermint oil to soothe irritation), while also being free of any sulfates, fragrances, colorants, parabens, phthalates, petrolatum, or SLS. This cleaner is also an excellent value; I highly recommend using this with your own fur baby; he or she will thank you!

I like most of Burt’s Bees products. This ear cleanser for dogs is just ok. Scent is nice but the tip needs to be longer to be able to fit down inside the dogs ears. My Westie has very narrow ear canals and most of the time the liquid just runs out. If the tip was a little longer it would fit inside the ear canal more easily. Didn’t notice that it was very effective as pup was still shaking head and scratching the next day. Vet said no infection, just dirt build up so not too effective at removing it. Most likely won’t purchase again.

We bought this because our Dalmatian has one ear that tends to get a yeast infection fairly regularly. The first time we took her to a vet and they put some medicine in the ear and cleaned it a little but a week later it came back. I bought this to see if it would help with her ear and after 2 days of cleaning the 3rd day her ear was clean. The skin color was back to normal and no more smell. I was cleaning it every week or so but now have cut back to every few months and even then I may not even need that. It does have a smell but it is not enough to bother me or the dog. It does not take a lot to do the cleaning either 3 drops is all we needed. The dog will shake the few drops out afterward so be warned, those 3 drops combined with whatever was in the ear is not fun in the face. I recommend this product to anyone with dogs.

This product is very simple to use, all you do is put several drops in your pups ears and rub lightly to clean off everything. I do it about once a week to make sure my pups ears are clean. The scent is not overpowering and easy on nose. The other way I use this product is taking a cotton ball and dabbing a few drops onto it and rub the outer lining of my pups ears. Overall easy and makes cleaning easy.
