Review: Manhole Cover Remover - I use this to open up a 300 pound manhole cover over a oil/ water separator, which I need to do twice a year for waste water sampling and analysis for permit requirements. As I have gotten older the manhole cover seems to be getting heavier. This device was the perfect solution for saving my back. In addtion, since i only need it twice a year, i have selected to use it without the magnet, which is fine for now.

**Q: Will this hook to a concrete lid thats not metal at all**
A: It's not likely.  The device has a hook at the end.  You would have to find a way to rig the lid to that hook.
