L&I Apothecary Organic MEDIUM BROWN Henna Hair Dye - USDA Certified Organic, Natural, Gluten Free, Cruelty Free Hair Color

I have used other chemical dyes but never have I ever had a product last as long as this one. I highly recommend using the coffee as the medium as suggested. It comes with 2 applications and I have not used the 2nd one yet after a year. Granted it was red on natural blonde, but still pretty amazing

I added vinegar and black coffee, and left in 3 hours and it covered my Grey's with a nice medium brown. Love it!

Awful product. I would give it ZERO stars if I could. This henna is listed as being medium brown but even when I mixed it with medium roast (organic) instant coffee (to intensify the brown color as directed in the instructions), it just ended up looking almost black but with dark green undertones (the dry powder prior to mixing is green). It’s also extremely messy to apply and makes your hair stiff. You have to apply it quickly because when it comes into contact with dry hair, it starts to harden. This just makes it difficult to apply and you can’t properly comb/brush the henna into your hair. While my natural hair color is very dark (pretty much black), and despite how dark the henna initially looked on my hair, imagine my surprise when I washed it out, and It literally did NOTHING to darken my gray hair. I primarily brought this to cover my grays but since it didn’t work in the slightest bit, I won’t ever repurchase from this brand. I only tried it because the product I was originally using (from the Henna Guys) was not available and this was what Amazon listed as the similar or equivalent product, but I can say for sure this is a TRASH product that just doesn’t work on grays as this company states it will.

It’s a good hair color it does what it says it do

I love this dye! The color last a lot longer than the regular dye I've used in the past. I like the fact that it is organic, all natural. I would highly recommend this dye.

This product is very easy to use, and does cover grey very well. I have dark brown hair with a good bit of grey. The outcome after using this was strawberry blonde, especially the grey. Even the rest of my hair was brassy/orangey after this. Not pretty - especially when the grey starts growing in. Over time, color fades and i more brassy. Probably best for people with light hair. Would be great for red heads and actual strawberry blondes!

I used this on two separate occasions by mixing half bag of Light Brown with half a bag of Medium Brown. First time, the color was perfect - not brassy at all and just the right shade of brown. My gray strands turned a light brown, which was fine for me. Five weeks later, I used the remaining mix, but my hair got a lot darker (pretty color but too dark for my skin tone). I don't mind that the gray hair doesn't match the rest of my hair after coloring, but I won't be using this again due to smell of this product. I've used other henna brands before and I'm used to the "earthy" smell, but for whatever reason, this particular smell is just not compatible with me and it lasts even after several shampoos.

I usually use the non organic brand by henna guys but thought I would give the organic a try. it works just as good! Found that my head didn’t get itchy with the organic so I will be using this one from now on!
