Holy moly this is the real deal!! I wasn’t sure what I was going to get, but I received an amazing knife that blows me away. The Dalstrong Vahalla Series Satoku knife with leather sheath was a great purchase and I am going to grab another one from this brand and series as well. Probably the Chef’s Knife next. Such a beautiful knife and I love the sheath to protect the blade. I am so happy to have found this knife. It’s razor sharp and I sliced a tomato with it as its test case and was able to make paper thin slices. And it is versatile too. I chopped some onions effortlessly and no crushing which means no tearing up. It is just so nice to have a real knife and I can’t wait to have a second one shortly. Thank you.

Total style points for this one. It’s become one of my favorites not only for functionality, and of course it’s very sharp, but because it’s beautiful and makes time in the kitchen that much more enjoyable.

Have been a big fan of Dalstong knives for quite awhile and I was not disappointed with this one! It's a gift but maybe I'll keep if for myself 😊 I have small hands and this 7" Santoku is easy for me to hold and has great balance. I have other Dalstrong knives and I find they hold a sharp edge much longer than some other brands do and it is easy to sharpen yourself should you need to just to keep the razor sharp edge. Personally I feel it is a great price for exceptional quality and you will not be disappointed in your purchase 5 Stars for this one !

I really love the look and feel of the knife, it’s got a weight to it that truly feels great and balanced, slight downside is I need a tiny wash but that’s no biggie. Comes with a free vip subscription card, a pamphlet about the knife and how it was forged as well as a comprehensive look at the other series of knives, shogun, shadow, etc. as well as a sticker decal of their logo and a awesome Valhalla series pin all in that amazing box with that beautiful sheathe. Most definitely buying from dalstrong again!

I work as a prep chef in a busy little Cafe in a tourist community on the east coast of Florida, and I am always looking for knives that make my work easier. Dalstrong knives have never let me down. This knife is well balanced, razor sharp, crafted very nicely, ergonomic, and on top of all that looks beautiful. We prep a lot of fresh fish, and I have no problem making sure we get the most out of whatever the catch of the day may be. This knife as I said is razor sharp, and we'll balanced. The blade has no blemishes or faults nor does the handle. Whether you are a home chef or work in a eatery you will appreciate the quality of this knife.

I’m a professional chef and have had this knife for about a month. I’ve used it daily for almost everything and it’s still as sharp as the first time I used it. It’s extremely versatile! I thought the weight would be too much for a santoku, but it’s absolutely perfect and honestly makes it even better. This is my first Dalstrong and didn’t know what to expect. I’m pleasantly surprised and can safely say I’ll be purchasing more Dalstrong knives in the future. The quality is unmatched! It’s beauty is a bonus!

The Valhalla series knives have a fantastic upscale look to an already impressive performing knife line. The sharpness of these knives are awesome. They are really comfortable in the hand and very well balanced. The all leather sheath that houses these knives are completely awesome as well!

Arrived timely- packaging was quite stunning. A real show stopper if you gave as a gift to a home cook or unprofessional chef. Handle mis very light, so depending on how you like you blades weighted (I prefer my japanese with heavier handles). It is a blended handle with a easy bolster- I dont mind the ergonomics for pinch gripping, just with there was more heft to it. The steel is a 'mystery', but I would say it is closer to a VG10 steel but softer elements (not a heavier carbon- no staining). I generally use very long 9" chefs blades- but was seeking something a bit more compact and liked the idea of that neat point (for on site camping, hunting, etc). The finishing was poor with a nasty mark on the bolster- I wish they spent the money on finishing rather than packaging- however it really impressed my husband who is definitely more form over function in comparison to myself. Overall, im keeping it, and will use it often. This type of steel really lends itself to basically a all purpose, indestructable 7" santoku with a aesthetic flare for the dramatic ;)

So after reading a few reviews saying the blade is not razor sharp i was a little concerned. However i purchased anyway. I cook all the time and my equipment is important to me. This knife is mint, balance , weight, feel, cutting angle all spot on and i love it. BEWARE - Who said it wasn’t sharp out the box?!!! So after using the knife for the first time and prepping dinner for the evening i washed the knife and while drying it off it slipped out my hands and landed on my thumb. Fortunately i had a bone in my thumb or id probably have lost it. Glue and stitches later i was home from A&E. WOW what a knife i love it and i can confirm its razor sharp!! Best knife i have ever purchased.

The knife is pretty good, heavy and holds pretty steady. Needs a lot of resharpen, hence the 4 stars
