MERCEDES-BENZ The SLK R170

The author knows his Mercedes, and the R170 SLK despite its pocket size, is a true Mercedes. The book is well written and only drops into tables of data infrequently. There is true enthusiasm for the car and for sharing those details, and it is not written like a report on the car. Worth adding to any R170 owners library, or even if you are a fan of the Mercedes brand.

I've had my SLK320 for nearly 16 years and have always wanted to know more about its design background and history. This book answers all the questions and is a nice easy read striking a balance between technical and understandable! A brilliant reference section will have me dissecting the VIN number soon as I get home.

Was looking for a book on the original SLK and this seems to be the only one available.However, this book does not disappoint at all.It’s full of useful information.

If you are planning to buy a R170 then this book is a must.

I've just purchased a SLK320 and have found this book to be a great resource. It's loaded with facts and useful information. If you are interested in owning what must be a future classic car, I would recommend that you buy this book.

Clear and concise. Readable and informative. More user tips would be good.
