Great water fountain
I have tried several other water fountains before, and this model is by far my favorite. It's the easiest to assemble, cleaning is also quick and easy, and it's very quiet. Both my cat and dog love it. The fact that the water circulates helps keep it cool, even if there's no cooling system, and the filters are easy to change.

Cat loves it
This fountain is quiet. It is also very easy to clean with it being stainless steal. It even came with a little brush to help clean the gears in the motor. It is lightweight but seems durable. Setup was easy. My cat was drawen right to the running water. She has always preferred filtered water so this was a nice upgrade. She also likes the water movement. I had no issues getting my cat to use it right away. I have found you need to change the filter regularly for cat cat health, so I bought a large pack of replacement filters.

If youre looking for a fairly cheap but decent fountain, I recommend this one.
This fountain has the potential to be one of the best fountains I've tried. It's sturdy, looks beautiful, the pump works great and is super easy to clean. I love that it has different options for the spout, if you want it to arc or bubble up, I switch it out every time I clean the fountain every week since 2 of my cats prefer the spout while the other 2 prefer the bubbles. The downsides I've ran into; I chipped the little silicone stopper on day 1, pushed it too far through the hole and it just chipped off. Worked fine though, but be aware. I also did get some discoloration in the pan which worried me a bit. Also I feel like the fountain doesn't flow into the pan from the bowl quick enough so the water has a higher chance of sitting there, I just put it so that the pan was slightly angled and I felt better about that. Otherwise, the company responded and took care of any issues I had!

My experience and suggestions after 4 months use
I was curious to know if I would experience any issues that I read in the reviews prior to buying. I have some suggestions and observations below, but the bottom line is that I am very pleased with the water fountain and so is my cat, Kiko! I'll list below some of my suggestions, especially on cleaning. I bought the unit with the add-on package of filters and brushes. They looked simple enough that I probably could have bought the brushes elsewhere, but my thought was that it would be useful to see what they thought was good as far as the diameter, length etc. of the wire brushes. Also, I figured (correctly) that I would want spare filters without the pain of reordering. More on this when I detail what was useful cleaning. THE CAT: As expected, my cat was a bit standoffish at first, something new and moving, but by morning he was drinking out of it. I would say within about a week of so he stopped drinking out of the other water bowl we had. I found that the water fountain seemed to stay at a nice temperature. I love that it cycles and aerates, and especially love the filtering aspect. I think Kiko drinks more water with this fountain than he used to with the old bowl I had, and it's definitely cleaner. NOISE: When assembled, clean, and full of water, it is whisper quite. If it gets low on water (for my one cat that was about 6-7 days), you'll see some oscillations in the water flow and it will get noisier, not loud or annoying, just louder than normal. If it's at all noisy, it's either the water level is low or the filters need changing. I think anyone that complains about noise must be doing something wrong. MOTOR/PUMP: I read some complaints about the pump suction cups not sticking. I found the opposite. The suction cup feet stuck to everything I set it down to, the sink, the counter, etc. and it stuck immediately. I would suggest contacting the company and getting a replacement if you have issues, because the one I got is very good even 4 months later. I'm thinking any complaints about the motor not working must be that it is either defective or most likely someone failed to notice there is a lever on the motor that has a sliding min/max setting and the set it to min by accident. I ran it on max all the time. CLEANING: I'm a chemist and I experimented a bit at first because I wanted to see how long I could go without cleaning and replacing the filters. Bottom line is that you should clean it every week otherwise there is some build up that occurs in the crevices by then that eventually will accumulate. Definitely replace the large filter weekly. The smaller one in the motor could probably go longer but since I have to remove it to clean, I replace it weekly as well. RECOMMENDATION: After you clean and reassemble it, half fill it with clean warm water and plug it in and run it there by the sink for 5-10 minutes, to let clean water flow through all the parts and filters, rinsing them of any residual soap and impurities that may be on the filters as packaged from the factory. Just good practice, not any serious concern. CLEANING KIT: It had extra filters, a sponge type brush, and two wire brushes. The two wire brushes I find extremely useful. The sponge brush is useless; what I use to clean dishes is much better. So you could add your own instead of buying theirs but just make sure they are a good length and diameter for getting in the long shafts etc. SUGGESTIONS: 100% definitely ADD A TOOTHBRUSH to your cleaning kit. there are areas of the motor and water nozzle that have small crevices and if you clean these, the water will stay cleaner longer. It's the most useful thing in my cleaning kit; I use it more than anything else. Taking an extra 5 minutes to thoroughly clean makes a difference. Poor cleaning may be the reason other users have issues. RESULTS: Recently I went away for a few days and left out bowls of water as a backup in case there was some odd power failure. When I returned the the fountain was running fresh clean water. The bowls had a layer of dust on the water's surface. BTW, in the rare times I have written reviews, I struggle to write 25 words, but I love my pet and I love this product so much that I wanted to share my findings and suggestions. Enjoy!

A great pet fountain
I had my reservations about buying this fountain. It is expensive when compared to other pet fountains. I have tried quite a few including the PetSmart Petmate Deluxe and Drinkwell 360 fountains, which were cheaper. While I had a minor problem with this fountain, which I’ll explain, this fountain is still a winner. Here’s why: PROs: It is easy to clean. It is a very simple design and there are not a lot of places that are hard to reach where mold and other scum can accumulate. Even with the filters and regular cleanings my Drinkwell 360 had places that I could not easily clean and it developed scum. Cleaning the Drinkwell required taking apart many different little pieces and scrubbing like mad in hopes of getting everything. I had the plastic model and the different flow filters, which were initially a selling point, became a pain because they cracked and didn’t stay on. This fountain has very simple parts which makes them easy to clean in a fraction of the time. I also like that this is stainless steel. Stainless steel is not as likely to build up residue and is easy to keep clean. The rubber mat! This fountain comes with a cute little mat to protect the floor from spills. Like the rest of the fountain, it is easy to clean. Another bonus is the size. The other fountains I had were huge and took up a lot of space (in addition to being prone to sludge.) The top fits very snugly on the bottom. I really appreciated this. Finally, do I talk about aesthetics? This bowl is rather pretty. Whether you favor Danish hygge, Scandanavian minimalism, organic modern, modern farmhouse, eclectic or industrial stylings, this little fountain is guaranteed to get the designer stamp of approval. If you must do pet fountains, please do this one. CONS:You need to monitor the water on this one. You want to make sure there is enough water for the water to make it out the top. A careless bump from kids could cause water to spill and the pump to burn out. That brings me to my one struggle. My kids did spill some water and before I caught it, the pump burned out. I was annoyed, but this happens with all water pumps, so I should hardly be surprised. I grumbled to myself a bit, but a replacement pump was easy to buy and did not cost a lot. I bought it, adjusted the placement of our dish and we are happy again. That’s me. If my cats could type they would give it five paws. For those few weeks while the pump was out, the cats were clearly bummed by the bowls of still water I offered them. Even putting water in fancy crockery did not entice them and they kept walking back to the stainless bowl and looking at me. That’s what prompted me to get a new pump and now we are all happy again. The pump makes a little hum, but it is not loud. With the splashing of water, it has a white noise zen vibe. We’re good with it.

Our cat loves this fountain. Before, he would only drink from his water tray a few times a day, but now we can be confident that he will drink enough water everyday.

It's super easy to take apart to clean. Makes little to no noise and both my cat and dog enjoy drinking out of it.
