Sesame King Tahini Light Roast, 16-Ounce (Pack of 4)

I didn't know from different brands so I got this because it was a bargain on Amazon. When it arrived I opened the first jar and was surprised because it was mainly a viscuous liquid, and I wondered if I had gotten a defective product or if the bargain was because it was inferior...boy, was I naive!I had always gotten my tahini from the grocer, paid double this price, and it was mostly a solid brick of stuff I had to deal with. I like this so much better...it still has the flavor and it's actually able to be measured and used in recipes so I find many more opportunities to use tahini now that I have it. It will take me a while to use all four jars (only into my second one now after a few months) but I do intend to buy it here again...

If you want to make hummus at home (quite easy to do with a food processor, a few ingredients and about 10 minutes) then you'll want to invest in some Tahini. If you're so inclined, then consider some Sesame King. It's plastic packaging make extracting of said Tahini goodness quite easy.Best use of Prime account so far.

Have you ever tried roasting sesame seeds by yourself? If you have, you know the fragrant smell. That's what I did when I opened the sealer on top--I sniffed but couldn't smell anything at all. So I thought I might taste it when I eat it. After stirring it for a few minutes, I put a little in my mouth. All I tasted was the oily bitterness. No sesame fragrance at all. Now I feel guilty for buying a pack of four because I don't think I can finish them. Nor could I return them because it's a little too late. I've learned my lesson about choosing Tahini now: don't buy more than one jar on your first order.

I love this Tahini! To me, Tahini is all about the same, but the price is super cheap for 4, 16-ounce jars! It's more that half of what I was paying in the local grocery store. I used to have to skimp because Tahini was so expense, but now I can use it how I like, without going broke. I've had the subscription for 3 months now and have been eating very well as a result!

This is the lightest roast I've ever seen, and the thinnest consistency (high fraction of oil) as well. Maybe that's what you want, maybe it isn't. It's fine for hummus but too thin to be used a standalone dip.

We eat middle eastern food so often that we really go thru the tahini, this was a fine product and the price was right, in our market the tahini on the shelf costs $8 a can.

Good product, much better price than supermarket. Use to make tofu salad, and works out fine. Stir up on receipt like peanut butter to mix the oil that comes to the top.

I couldn't believe this deal, 4 containers for about $16, so much cheaper than the stores - where I would pay close to $7 or 8. The tahini is very good. I used in my black eyed pea hummus and it was perfect! Very happy with this purchase, will buy again as long as its available. Highly recommended!
