One of the latches kept popping open, which is obviously a very serious problem on a dog harness. Upon close inspection I discovered that the spring for one release tab of the affected latch had a loose end that was moving around instead of keeping the latch closed. It took a tremendous amount of effort with a very small screwdriver to get the spring pushed down inside the latch, around a corner, and into the channel that's supposed to hold it, and the finish got marred in the process. Had I not noticed that this latch felt a little different than the others, I might have missed this defect, which could easily have resulted in my dog getting loose. It is *wildly irresponsible* for this company to let such a defective product get past quality control, when that defect could, in some circumstances, potentially lead to the loss and/or death of a pet!!

The original version gets 5 stars. I used the original version as a patrol harness for an 80lb working Belgian malanois. It held up well for tracking and agitation work. The only issue is that sometimes the cobra clips would appear to be latched but would not close all the way. A quick pull test after putting it on solved that problem. I made the mistake of leaving it where the dog could get to it and he used it as a chew toy while I was out of the car. I tried to order it again and discovered that this new version has reflective stitching and smaller, less sturdy clips with the releases painted orange. I don’t trust the smaller clips and the hi vis aspect make it useless for me. The straps and sewing are still good and should work for non-working dogs just fine. Icefang, if you have any of the original harnesses left I’ll take several……

I've been looking for a suitable harness for my adult Alaskan Malamute for some time. I had three requirements. First I wanted something minimalistic in design to keep additional heat to a minimum. Second I wanted a harness that would stay well centered on my boy's back and third, one that would withstand the pulling force of a healthy Mal. I hadn't found any that met all three to my satisfaction until this one by Icefang. This harness meets all three of my criteria with aplomb. It has an intelligent minimalist design that stays nicely centered on my boy. It also features comfortable padding in crucial areas. What perhaps impresses me the most is it's outstanding build quality. All of it's parts, straps, stitching, hardware etc are truly heavy duty. It seems like it's sturdy enough to pull a tank. It has held up to my boy zooming around on a 50ft lead without any problems whatsoever. I'm very happy with this harness and highly recommend it.

I was concerned that this would be poorly made due to the price. I'm amazed at the quality. Very solid from end to end. I have a 6 month old, 60lb, GSD. His dad was 125lbs. I needed a solid harness and this exceeded my expectations. Even my wife was amazed. You don't realize how great having a harness with a handle on it is until you have a strong dog trying to do something you don't want him to do. Great product. Very happy with purchase, will purchase again.

I bought this for my 65lb English Bulldog. He is a strong active pup who sometimes pulls on walks when he gets excited. He busted through a previous harness and he doesn’t like traditional collars so we were looking for something sturdy and large enough to fit his wide neck. This harness is not took bulky either, I worry about my dog overheating so that was something we considered when getting this harness. I haven’t used the two leash feature yet but I can tell you he really likes it. He loves walks but runs away when I bring out the collar... with this harness, he comes to me lays at my feet or near the front door.

Fun fact, like cats, Great Danes are a newtonian fluid. While they seem solid upon inspection, they can slip out of a harness no problem. The adjustable straps on this bad boy keep my princess from greeting her adoring fans on walks. It also does a decent job at holding my Hobbit Dane(see mastiff mix) who borrowed it for a photo op. Over a hundred pounds of trouble easily managed.

I had a hard time finding something that would fit my mutt, he's different and love him for it ; ) This harness is intended for tha car, to have someone protection while on a car ride. I did walk him and love the fact that you can adjust all straps because Archer has an awkward body shape and all straps can be adjusted. Absolutely recommend if your pup is in between sizes.
