Works as advertised... until it doesn’t
UPDATE: I can’t recommend this as it is. Every time we try to adjust the volume it plummets to the ground with the echo dot, and it’s not the outlet (brand new, fits firmly into it). No matter how delicately we try it happens, and I can’t have a guest encountering this. I removed the cord holder and now use it as a standalone base on the bathroom counter.I had my doubts, but works exactly as advertised. Cord wraps neatly around the bottom, leaves enough room to use the top outlet.

Not as stable as the taller one by same company
I bought the this one and the longer version. This version is more attractive in my mind as it is less visible. Unfortunately, my wife and kids agree that even the slightest touch, or infant toot and it falls off the wall. It is just physics that it is less stable. I think this would be fine in an adult only house or a location where it is out of the way but i was using in a bathroom and being right by sink made it constantly fall. I replaced this one with the longer one with same kids and hasn't fallen yet. So this is more about how it doesn't work with my children than it being terrible, just know it has severe limitations on being able to be touched or breathed on by children

White plastic was yellowed out of the box, doesn’t sit flush to outlet
This could be a good product, but the item I received was supposed to be white and arrived yellowed out of the box. It can’t be so old that age would have degraded the plastic already, but I’m not sure how else to account for this. It’s also wobbly in the socket, it doesn’t sit flush to the outlet due to how it’s constructed. I can see how this would fall out of the socket if it’s even slightly disturbed. It was cheap, and I accept the reality of getting what I pay for, but as it is I wouldn’t purchase it if I had to choose again, and I don’t recommend it to others.

Good for the price.
This is very easy to install and looks nice. I will say the cord does not lay easily under the unit and needed some finessing to not stick out.It is not as sturdy as one would think. If you would like to adjust the volume or push any buttons on the Alexa Dot at all, you will need to use your opposite hand to stabilize the unit.Other than that, very happy with the appearance.

Echo falls every time it’s being used, because the stand can’t hold it. Don’t buy
