GoMacro MacroBar Organic Vegan Protein Bars - Lemon + Lemon (2.3 Ounce Bars, 12 Count)

These have become some of my favorite protein bars; plant-based and gluten-free but still delicious with a wonderful moist texture. I've tried all their flavors and I highly recommend.

These are a perfect, healthy snack for on the go. I carry these in my purse for quick snack breaks. The lemon flavor is wonderful.

These bars are easy to digest and very clean with real ingredients, no weird fibers or sugar alcohols, no allulose, just good, nourishing ingredients. Lemon and Maple are my two favorites.

Good taste, the texture is a bit dense/sticky/for TMJ-challenging to chew. I like the natural real ingredients, but the ratio of almond butter is a little too much for my personal medical digestive issues, but could work for others! The kids' size works better for me-narrower, and thinner-easier to chew, and not enormous. The lemon is a nice change of a flavor; reminds me of a lemon muffin or lemon squares.

The consistency is very dense, hence chewy. I had to drink water while eating the bar. The taste is lemon, it not overpowering. I will reorder.

I tried the GoMacro MacroBar Lemon + Lemon hoping for a refreshing change from the usual flavors, but this one just didn’t do it for me. I’ve had other flavors from GoMacro that I’ve really enjoyed, especially the oatmeal chocolate chip, so I had higher expectations going in. The lemon flavor is definitely there, but it comes across pretty bland overall. It has a light lemony taste, but not enough to make it enjoyable, and I found myself not even finishing a few of the bars. The texture is what you’d expect from GoMacro, but the flavor just doesn’t carry it. Another downside for me is the protein-to-calorie ratio. For the calories you’re getting, I’d prefer something with a bit more protein to make it worthwhile. Highlights: • Noticeable lemon flavor, but overall pretty mild • Texture is consistent with other GoMacro bars • Falls short compared to other flavors like oatmeal chocolate chip • Not enough protein for the calorie count (in my opinion) • Taste: (3/5) – bland with a hint of lemon • Value: (3/5) – depends on flavor preference • Overall rating: (3/5) – not my favorite from the brand Bottom line: If you like subtle flavors, this might work for you, but it just didn’t hit for me. I’d skip this one and go with something like the oatmeal chocolate chip instead, which has a much better overall taste.
