works as advertised
Dye is highly visible and I was able to rapidly pinpoint the leak in my AC system. Worked like a champ. I am highly pleased. Please remember that you should not cross contaminate different coolant types. This one is for R-1234yf

Actually worked
I was pretty skeptical but after $3000 in repairs and trips to fours different mechanics (two dealers and two independents) this little can fixed my air leak. My 1234xy would last 2-3 weeks before. Now it is going on 9 weeks and is still going. Worth it and bought another.

Warning!! extreme risk! crappy connector on this product. heed the pictures!
bought for 2018 Cadillac Escalade. Yes it uses 1234yf I have no problems charging it with regular 1234yf refrigerant. I saw all the reviews of others having issues with the badly cheap connector. I was just thinking they bought for the wrong refrigerant type and surely I wouldn't have NO issues. I was wrong. When I attempted to squeeze air out of tube. I thought it was broken nothing coming out. Well Like Other reviews You have to press extremely hard thought I was going to break it. Next I attempted to connect to low port. Mine is way at the bottom of vehicle so have to stand on chair hard to get at especially with this very short tube. The thing would not click on to the port. it would go on but just sit very loosely after about 10 minutes thinking this should click on there no problems like all the other refrigerants i have use. I thought will maybe it's just supposed to fit on this way. So very hesitant I thought lets try it. turn the vehicle made sure compressor is turning and begin to press the button Very hard cause only way it will come out and wouldn't you know the fluid leaked all out the sides of port so after being very disappointed. I tried some more to get that thing on the port NO Go and cause this fluid was leaking out sides of port I made even more of mess So now I wouldn't be able to tell if I got a leak somewhere. I'm out 30 dollars now cause apparently there is no return on this item!! I feel like I've been scammed! The only good thing about this stuff it glows very nicely under the UV light and makes a big mess cause of crappy cheap plastic connector.

Difficult to use, but works... I think?
I tried using this on a 2017 BMW 540 that needed to have it's A/C recharged twice last summer. The quick connector that attaches to the low pressure port seems really cheaply made (it's plastic) and is difficult to attach. I thought that it was broken but eventually got it on... I think. One tip is to try to rotate the connector and try different positions on the low pressure port. Another tip is that your A/C compressure MUST BE RUNNING! I had to add just a little bit of refrigerant til my compressor kicked on, then I added the stop leak, then I added the rest of the refrigerant. Since there's only 1oz of product, it's difficult to determine how much product goes in or should still remain in the tube. The directions could use some clarification. However, I believe that some product did make it in, but only time will tell.
