I felt a little "called out" as I got into the last third of the book.
I read this book in less than two days and for me that is a lot of focus. Keeping format of druidic triads in the front of each section gave me a mental outline to follow. I'm a technical text reader and this kept my brain from getting lost. For me this was really great about the book. She also held to the structure throughout the work. Clearly describing how her small step changes accumulated until she had realized how far from the way she was living she had traveled. I do feel that even though I may not go as far as she did in her journey into permaculture, I can easily add these elements into each of my solar days and holidays. The recognition of the elements of nature and incorporating them into daily living are practices that I intend to do much more and her book leads me to imagine new ways to do that. Local sourcing materials used in ceremony, or mundane activity such as cooking or smudging with an awareness of all the aspects of what and how it came to be are something that I have not 'until now' really thought much about. This book has given me a great outline that I can read before each holiday in my year so that I can plan a new simple step, evaluate where I have gotten slack and get myself back on track without beating my self up about it. I will keep a spare copy in my kit for gatherings and camping events, just to give away to someone who is interested in this path and doesn't have a good map to start with. This is a good book for any budding druid or Earth centered spiritual practitioner.

I couldn't put the book down!
This is a guide for anyone and everyone that cares about the Earth. O'Driscoll describes how to make daily life choices that connect us with the Earth and choices that show us how to protect and provide for our sweet Earth. I currently am living in an apartment and no longer have garden space or my own land. I felt like a part of my land connection was severed. O'Driscoll's book reminds me that I can still make meaningful changes that deepen my Earth-based spirituality while living in an apartment. I learned how to make my small living area a sacred space. I continued my Oak Knowledge and learned exactly what it means to be an Earth Ambassador.Dana O'Driscoll's book is a must read for anyone who finds peace in nature.

Very well written and loaded with great ideas
This book was very well written. The ideas in the book are easy to implement, and make a big impact. I like that it goes beyond that you would normally find, and you can tell a lot of time and thought went into it. I would definitely recommend it.

Deep Book of Wisdom
Once in a while a book comes along, amongst many-many amazing books (and I read many inspiring books of Earth Medicine Wisdom), that just makes me go WOW!If we were taught this Wisdom, from the moment we were conceived, the Earth would be full of Peace, Love, and Balance.A perfect book for all students to read in Jr. H.S. Health classes.?When I was teaching Health Education in the Syracuse City School District, the district has an Environmental Health class that was an elective. I would have loved this book to use for this class. It may have raised eyebrows with parents, administrators, city school board… who knows. 😂 I sort of had that impact anyhow. A good book to back me up would have been welcomed. This book would have been the PERFECT “textbook” to inspire and invite students to ‘see’ their world differently than how our culture indoctrinates us.Thanks Dana for sharing the weaving together of your lived experiences.

Bringing sacred actions down to earth
This book offers a new way of looking at both "sacred actions" and the Wheel of the Year. The author combines the two in down-to-earth ways that may surprise some readers. It may come as a revelation that "sacred actions" can include what many consider relatively mundane, such as composting, recycling, foraging, even basketweaving. Starting with Yule (although anywhere is a good place to start!) there are rituals for each sabbat, to harmonize with the seasons and enhance the practice of these sacred actions in everyday life. By the time full circle is complete, new awareness of how Spirit and Earth are deeply connected will emerge.I highly recommend this book, for those new to ecologically-centered living or those who have been on that path for years. There are plenty of useful how-to descriptions for earth friendly projects. If you've been dreaming of doing this, even if you are an urban apartment dweller, this book will give you practical and spiritual support to guide you along the way. Learning how to make every action a sacred action will build a closer daily relationship with real magick.

Best book in my collection
This has been the best book in my collection, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it and putting the practices in my daily life. I suggested it to my Druid group and we are discussing using the book to guide our group this year. Absolutely LOVE it!Follow up: As we are half way through the year, I am half way through the book. It is easy to read and very informative. It's motivational, educational and overall the best book I've ever read on the subject of Druidry Action in every day life.So far things I've initiated into my life: Better recycling at my home, actively being a locaterian, creating garden spaces in my home and at my congregation, encouraging others to live responsibly with the earth in mine with a monthly article in my congregation newsletter, decluttering not only my home but also my spirit, teaching reskilling classes and taking some myself (I learned how to sew...kinda).In all honesty I'll probably read this book year round for the rest of my life.
