If you are getting a pilots license, this book is a must.

The recent changes in the FAA's Airman Standards have resulted in the publishing of this book, the Airman Certification Standards (or ACS). This book is a guideline to the standards required of every applicant for an FAA Private Pilot certificate. I purchased mine in advance of my PPL Checkride, and there's nothing hidden about it. When the time comes for your checkride, the ACS is exactly what your FAA DPE will use to measure your performance. I don't see any reason an PPL applicant shouldn't own a copy of this book.

My instructor says, this is the new one with the actualization & and i made a good investment, i shall se how im going with my exams, mean while good book is 8-1/2 x 11, a little bigg for my preference.

I enjoyed having the ACS as a reference. A lot of space in the book to write your own notes/comments for personal development and honing of skills.
