Truly comfort food. Makes me think of warm family meals growing up. A well crafted cook book and easy to read. A lot of work and love went into this book. The personal touches and the pictures makes you want to start cooking.

This is not your ordinary cookbook. The pictures in this book are amazing, as are the recipes. I highly recommend the Eggplant Parmesan and the Beef Stew. So good! I am quoted as saying the Eggplant Parm was the best thing I have ever tasted. I could not stop eating it. There are many other recipes that we cannot wait to try. Add this cookbook to your collection, you won't be sorry!

Now that I live away from home, I crave the kind of food I grew up eating. I knew I needed this book the instant I read the title, and it definitely lives up to its name! I made the beef stew (Bosanski lonac) and it was delicious- just like my mom makes it. As far as I can tell it's got all the staples. Can't wait to try the other recipes. If you're curious about Balkan cuisine and love hearty, filling food I would definitely recommend this cookbook.
