Best tracking option - Worth the price
After plopping down $1500+ on a decent quadcopter, the last thing you want to do is cough up another $300 for a tracker. But considering that Murphy is my copilot - and I've already had a couple of close calls with losing my drone, I decided that this was an effective insurance policy. I had considered GPS and cellular tracker options, but the negatives on those systems ruled them out once I really started comparing capabilities, ranges, circumstances, and ongoing costs.I've practiced locating my machine a couple of times using this system by landing in tall grass at the end of a flight just to see if I could then hike out and find it; and this thing works like a charm! This single $300 investment covers both of my $1500+ quads. I also dabble in High Power Rocketry (HPR), and this tracker works well for those too. Very glad I spent the money.

Why do you not have this yet??
Wow! Really......what more can I say? I bought this for "emergency drone retrieval", but soon realized it can do so much more. Clip it to your dog's collar (what it was designed for!), stick it in your wallet. Put it on your key ring. Heck, put it in your kid's backpack! Seriously, taking your young one to the park? Put one of these in their pocket (secretly) and set the handset to range. A very versatile unit with more uses than the designers probably thought. And no monthly fees!!We firefighters are drawn to this kind of tech like the proverbial moth to....well, you know. We ran through more than a few tests. Range was the big kicker. After all, no range=no good. We left the tag in a "brick and stick" building, in an urban setting. The area is surrounded by many sources of interference, such as power lines, cell towers, 2 way radios at many businesses, as well a radio station transmission tower array. We picked up the tracking signal 1.1 miles away! Fresh batteries/charge, and we knew where we were looking. But, there is no denying that range. Have not tried a LOS test yet, maybe this week. The only drawback I see so far is the audio indicator is not loud enough. You can buy an external speaker, but that is only for the ranger not the tracker. A very minor drawback but not bad enough to loose a star.I bought this for a drone, but my flying has not "sucked" enough yet to have to use this. Think I'll "tag" one of the guys and tell him to get lost. When I learn more I will write more, but for now Marco Polo is a hands down winner.

works great with awesome range
The range is pretty impressive. after testing it a few times and getting to know the system we would have someone run the transmitter out quite a ways and try to get it out of range bt the tracker kept up and did great. The receiver is not much bigger than a micro crossfire similar VTX so it can be built into just about any quad and can be taped or ziptied to any drone. If you fly in wooded areas wor with a ton of trees you really need this as most of the times the quad or drone wasnt even on the ground it was in the trees way out of sight. would have never found them with out it.

Absolutely the coolest drone accessory no-one has!!!!
Have one transmitter attached with the included Velcro to my DJI FPV the other attached to myt DJI Mini. These are the coolest thing since sliced bread. When all the technology built into the drone fails to find your downed bird this unit will not dissappoint. Will actively track line of sight at two miles I have tested this. strong directional signal and incredible battery life. stop reading and buy it.

Fortunately I have not had to use it to go ...
This is second complete unit I've purchased. Fortunately I have not had to use it to go searching for a lost UAS but I simulate by landing my Inspire maybe a 100 meters away in a field and go looking for it with the handheld beacon locator. It's a good idea to practice with it to get a better understanding of how it works because it does work if you follow its instructions. It's cheap insurance when you fly in remote forrested mountainous terrain like we do here in West Virginia.
