Speakman S-2251 Signature Icon Anystream Adjustable High Pressure Shower Head - 2.5 GPM Solid Brass Replacement Bathroom Showerhead, Polished Chrome

La mejor regadera, durabilidad y calidad.

I am not sure I would pay 300 + dollars for this item but I got a used like new shower head for $90. If it was used it didn't look it to me. I would bet it wasn't used at all or if it was only for a minutes The packaging was a bit damaged but it was all there all there including the Teflon tape which hadn't been used. I was considering a Hammerhead model, most probably the non-adjustable head and 6 foot hose. I was a bit concerned with the coverage of the Hammerhead spray. I checked out the Speakman S-2252 and was considering that before I ran across the S-2251 which has a wider pattern of water distribution than the 2252 and I am pleased I did. It works perfectly. I considered removing the 1st black water restrictor (the one with the screen) but I have pretty good water pressure so decided to not do that. I have all the water I care about coming through without removing it. I can increase the flow buy turning the water up if I choose. One point to consider is it is extremely difficult to get the angle of the shower adjusted before it is installed but once it is attached to the shower stem you can move it up or down as you would expect. It will definitely stay in place once you have it set where you want. It can also be a bit tricky to get the face plate lined so you aren't looking at it without being at a weird angle because the pivot of the head angle is so difficult to achieve. So once I screwed the whole shower head onto the stem, the writing was a bit askance. I turned it so the name was centered which meant I loosened it a bit. It didn't leak and would have been fine there probably then I used a wrench to tighten the connection while holding the shower head still. I was concerned about scratching the chrome but managed to do that with no damage. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This is possibly the best SHOWER HEAD I have ever owned. Very easy to install, a woman can do it.

I experienced the Speakman Anystream in several fine hotels, and was truly impressed with the flow rate & soothing feel of its water stream. It recently came time to replace an also-excellent Moen shower head, so I went with a Speakman Anystream (polished brass). The shower head is beautiful, heavy brass construction and absolutely simple to install. The only question, as debated & commented on in several reviews, was whether to remove the small o-ring flow restrictor as well as remove the little plastic plate that the o-ring is seated on. Removing the o-ring without damage looks (& is) simple -- just use very fine needle-nose tweezers or perhaps a toothpick. I first tried the Speakman straight out of the box with no mods. This did not result in the "fine hotel" experience I remembered. I then removed the o-ring; this produced excellent soothing, non-stingy flow... just as I had remembered. Believe me, with this simple non-destructive mod, there's nothing wimpy about the flow rate. I'm not sure who would need more flow, unless their water pressure is just awful. My old Moen shower head had a similar o-ring & plastic seating plate mechanism, so I tried an experiment. First, I removed its o-ring; this improved the flow, but the shower experience was markedly inferior to the Speakman. I then used a surgical retractor to attempt to remove the plastic seating plate in back of the o-ring. The plate promptly broke. Given the excellent performance of the Speakman with its o-ring simply removed (a reversible operation), I would definitely NOT remove the little plastic plate in back of the o-ring.

I’ll keep this very simple. I generally DO not write reviews. This shower head was so good I had to take time out of my schedule to give you all insight. I purchased more than 5 different shower heads over the years in an attempt to get a stronger flow. I purchased the 2.5 GPM brushed gold...This shower head will literally leave you Standing under the water just to be there. Women, you will love it because the flow is very strong like that hose stuff they use at the salon. I will say, I removed the restrictors from the shower head. Go to YouTube... type in the shower head name and type “Speakman shower head restrictor removal .” The water flow is very intense and covers me entire body. I am 5’10 200 lbs and I have broad shoulders. Pros : it’s a little pricey ( but totally worth it ) Easy as anything to install and I am definitely not a handyman on any level. Best shower head by so far. Cons : your shower times will increase by a lot You’ll be and the same head for your other showers
