Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier for Home and Extra Large 2423 Ft² Rooms, Black

We have used Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier throughout our home for 12 years of more. They run 24/7, usually on the lowest (germ) setting. We kick the sitting up if we have poor air quality outside from wildfire smoke. Let me tell you: These Air Purifiers Work! The are whisper quiet on the lowest speed (create more noise, obviously on higher speeds). They do an INCREDIBLE job of filtering the air, including dog dust and dander. They also create air circulation in the room, providing comfort and cooling. I ordered this latest Air Purifier to replace one more than 12 years old. This new air purifier if fantastic! - Super easy to set up. Comes with a helpful instruction manual and also a quick start guide if you are new to the air purifiers. Love the new feature - a handle inset in the top of the purifier. Makes carrying it a breeze! - I keep this on the lowest germ setting, but also on the auto setting. The auto setting will automatically kick up the air purification level as needed. This feature is FABULOUS! - Use Tip: The prefilter can be used many times over. When the machine says it needs attention, don't discard the prefilter, simply vacuum it. You can vacuum it many, many times over before it needs replacing due to wear and tear. Also, in our long experience with Honeywell HEPA Air Filters, the HEPA filters last much, much longer than advertised. - Given the helpfulness this product provides in your home, it is an incredible value. I wouldn't be without these HEPA Air Purifiers from Honeywell in our home. I highly recommend this product.

I did not know I am severely allergic to Timothy grass until I was in my mid-40s. 🤦‍♂️ I relocated to the PNW, where everything grows, so I had the equivalent of a constant sinus infection. I *finally* stopped being stubborn and ordered the 500 sq. ft., three filter unit, which is perfect for my area. I cannot believe how much dust it pulled from the air in about ten days. I know the manual states to not vacuum the pre-filter, but I cannot replace it once a month. Just do it gently, with a vacuum and brush tool. I definitely sleep better, and do not have as much "crud". It's quiet. Sure, I can hear it in the bedroom, bit it's merely faint white noise. Personally, I think the clear rear surround for the top is smart. It's a low-key function indicator which is easily visible from 25' away, unlike the function pad, which faces 'up'.

This is been a lifesaver for me. I added the VOC filter to it, it was so easy to do. You do have to buy those separate and I wish they would offer those with it for the price. I love that it it gives you that light on it to tell you when filters have to be replaced and changed. It's can be a little loud on the higher speedsbut after a while I get used to it, it's not obnoxiously loud. Really glad I bought it. If I had one negative to say about it, I wish it had a one hour timer option on the turbo.

I have had two other Honeywell air purifiers similar to this design for over three years now, and they have run continuously over that time without any issues. I've just had this one for a short time, but the quality is just as good. I got this one to use along with a different brand that still works, but wasn't large enough for the master bedroom. This became clear during a wildfire smoke event in July that was far worse than in the past. This unit is oversized for the room, and is very effective at the lowest speed for AQI readings up to about 125. This makes it great for a bedroom, because the low speed is pretty quiet. I have the other purifier on the other side of the same room, but unplugged. If the outside AQI goes past 125, I plug in the other purifier too, and I can keep the air safe and still keep the noise low for sleeping. By the way, I use several PM 2.5 meters throughout the house, to check how effective the purifiers are at different settings, vs outdoor levels. After reading a few really good studies on the effects of PM 2.5, I'm convinced that anyone living in an area with wildfire smoke should consider ways to reduce their exposure. The meters are also a good way to know how effective your exhaust fan is when you're cooking.

I had the previous model, the HPA 100, for my daughter's bedroom and it worked out really well. I went with Honeywell because it seemed to have good features without creating ozone which was important for me. I decided that I wanted to get one for our bedroom too. Lo and behold there was a new version available. The new version is a little slicker looking, though, the clear plastic portion looks a little cheesy / will probably be prone to scratches. It is also a bit more efficient. However, the older model actually may cost less money to run because it uses less electricity / is smaller. This is also a bit bulkier than the old version, though the trade-off is it does purify more air. The real sticking point, though, was the low-level hum that this unit and the bigger models emited. It seems that the actual fan noise might be a little bit lower, and maybe I am just not used to this particular frequency of noise, but I just couldn't get over it. I also tested the noise volume between the new model and old model with a DB app and it did confirm that the new model was about 5 dB louder. This is in no way a scientific comparison, but it confirmed my anecdotal feelings about it. I have lots of fans, and music products, and none of them emit a hum like this. I usually associate a hum like this with some sort of grounding issue. Ultimately, I was disappointed and I returned it.

This Honeywell HEPA Air Purifier is my second one that I have bought for myself, I still have my first one that I use for 15 yrs. & still working. It works so good I bought a second one for another part of the house. I highly recommend. It's filter cleaning/ effectiveness/ odor removal is tops, 5 stars. The instrument panel is easy to use & works great. Changing the filters can't be any easier, you will enjoy it.

Pleased with this device and it has helped keep the air a bit cleaner. On low and medium settings it's very quiet and you can bareley notice it's running. High setting is definitely a bit louder and noticable which is to be expected, but I run mine on "auto" and it very rarely ever runs on high. Filters are reasonable and I would recommend this item to anyone considering an air purifier purchase. Item arrived on time and well packaged.

I prefer simpler models, but gave this modern one a try. Simple models just have a fan and a physical toggle switch. This one has whizzy LEDs and soft-touch digital lights, but does it stylishly enough. Still, just a motor and filter are what I want. But it works, and a powerstrip will take care of any desire for a physical toggle switch. Air flow feels strong at setting 3 (highest without turbo), and runs almost as loud as the unit replacing it (also at setting 3 out of 4 choices). So for airflow and noise, this is awesome. No weird noises of goofy chunks yet! Turbo is more powerful than the old unit (comparable size too). Cat hair is caught in the prefilter so I know this is definitely doing its job! Size is perfect for what it needs to do. Weight too is pretty good for size and bulk. The noise emitted works as "white noise", which can be relaxing to induce sleep with. People with allergies will appreciate this too between seasons. No setting change randomly and there's no air quality sensor that's half-useless too. There are no ozone gimmicks to be found in this. Avoiding ozone is a MUST if you have pets, especially parrots. As some units automatically turn it on when the unit is powered on and theres an outage, that can be bad news. Definitely happy with this unit and am buying another.

Funciona muy bien, muy útil el indicador de VOCs. Lo utilizamos en recámaras de hasta 20m^2 sin problemas.

This machine is quiet, and works good. Since I've had it I've seen no dust in the air and less dusting. There is dust but not as much. Also my nose isn't as runny. I love this air purifier.

en las mananas es cuando mas malo me ponia con las alergias y en efecto, el purificador de honeywell lo detectaba en el modo automatico y se ponia en amarillo o rojo... llevo 1 semana usandolo y he estado MUY bien... 100% recomendable... de hecho comprare otro para la sala...

Compre este aparato por que soy asmático y si me ha ayudado a dormir mejor, lo pongo en modo automático y limpia el aire de la recámara de echo he notado mucho menos polvo en las diferentes superficies de mis muebles

En donde puedo comprar un motor de repuesto? Alguien sabe? Se quemó el motor y se usó muy poco
