These cables are great. They work well for basic optical connections, and I have them plugged into both my TV and PC. The cables are thin so you have to be a bit careful with them, but for the very low price for each cable, it's not an issue at all. If you need cheap optical cables and/or a single one with a cheap backup on standby, you can't go wrong with these.

The cables work just fine. If you're looking for an inexpensive set of optical audio cables, this is the way to go. All of the reviews talking about the poor sound quality should probably not have purchased the cheapest cables they could find on the market, I mean come on. If you have an optical connection and you need sound, this is the way to go. It's an optical connection, so it's going to be better than most others already, but yes, I'm sure a very picky person could find flaws, but if you're that picky, see my comment about not buying the cheapest cable out there.Mine also came with that suspicious device that I shouldn't plug into my computer. I'm kidding, it's a very handy, flexible USB light! For free!! Plug it into your laptop and you instantly have a keyboard light if you need one. Plug it into a charging block and you have a little light, anywhere you need one.I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I got 2 decent optical cables for less than the price of most other single cables and they included a nifty free light.

Functions as desired. Well worth cost!

I guess it's what you would expect for a low-end budget cableit's stiff and thin with cheesy plastic connectors but seems to work fine!!

Two working optical cables and a free LED light to help plug the cable in correctly (handy if there is not a lot of light at the back of the PC etc.).If you are not experienced in using optical cables, do remember to remove the clear shipping protectors at *both* ends of the cable. The image shows the cable with one protector removed and (as a point of comparison) one not removed. Do not attempt to use this cable unless both protectors are removed -- the cable will not work and inserting the cables with the protectors in place will probably damage the equipment. Enough said.I have no idea why the complaints concerning the diameter of the cable and the claimed commensurate frailty, the cable only has to pass light, and snap in to the socket securely. It's plenty sturdy for the intended purpose. It's not intended to be used for water skiing, towing cars, or as an anchor line or mooring for a boat. It's not electrically conductive, it's purely optical, it doesn't need decorations such as gold plating or nylon braiding. This cable, with reasonable care, will likely outlast its owner.Ignore the haters, it's a good deal.
