I tried it based on ratings by EWG (Environmental Working Group), which says it is very low in chemicals and very high in both UVA and UVB protection (many sunscreens say they are broad spectrum but only have moderate coverage protecting you from rays that cause skin cancer). It does go on thicker than many of the non-natural brands on the market. But it is not greasy, and it blends in well--so after a minute or two there is no white mask left behind. For my friends who are concerned with the same things I am (low chemicals and excellent protection), this is always the sunscreen I recommend. It is pricey, but especially in the months when the sun is really intense, I am willing to pay for it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Use this sunscreen correctly, and it will treat you well. *by M***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2014* Our family--my youngest son, especially--has very sensitive skin. This is the only sunscreen that blocked the sun, didn't break out our skin and didn't sting our eyes. And it is made without harsh or damaging chemicals, which is awesome. It does need to be reapplied frequently--the back of the bottle says every 40 minutes--but if you aren't towel-drying or pulling goggles on and off of your face (actions which will wipe off the sunscreen fairly easily and quickly, unfortunately), you may not need to reapply the sunscreen quite that often. We spent a full day at a waterpark this summer in full sun (we look like vampires with our pale skin), reapplied this sunscreen faithfully every two hours, did not use our towels or goggles and no one got sunburned. This stuff works. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Sunscreen separated, stings a little bit *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2015* I stopped using this sunscreen when it started separating shortly after I bought it, which is unfortunate as it seemed quite promising. I liked the texture; it was easy to spread. It leaves a slight whitish cast, but given the high rating on EWG, I'm OK with that. It stings a little bit when I was wearing it, but not enough that it would make me stop using it.
