Bought this to put in a closed toe offloading shoe for my husband. He's diabetic and had a recent ulcer on the bottom of his forefoot. It's improving, but he needs to go back to work & that's why I bought this PEG insert. So far, he's been using this with appropriate pegs removed around the house and it has been doing a great job keeping pressure off of the area.

Very functional tool for unloading weight on pressure sensitive areas of the foot.

Thought I liked them but they started to split after 2 weeks. I contacted them for a 2nd time today and hopefully they respond and correct this issue.

Punch out areas are easy to use and has relieved toe pain

my husband had a large callus removed from the ball of his foot in December. My husband wears a size 12 1/2 shoe. The doctor gave him a size 12 barco boot-said it was the largest he had. 4 months later the area is still not healed and he developed additional pressure area under his toes. I found this boot and insole on amazon in the size 12.5-14, followed the directions on the package and I think we are already seeing the improvement from the proper fit! (PS-the doctor did check the boot at our next visit and approved my punch out location). My husband also likes the new boot much better.

This insert is great for offloading wounds of the feet. If your doctor wants to put you in a cast this is a great alternative.

The picture shows black bottom pegs. the two I got had blue bottom pegs. The size did not fit the darco boot shoe of the same men's size. The packaging and part numbers were the same as before but did not fit!
