## Questions & Answers

**Q: I wonder why it shows only even numbers for temperature. I've seen the same complaint by others. I put a fresh Eveready alkaline battery, same thing.**
A: I have 4 units of the AcuRite 00325 thermometer and not a one ever shows even numbers for Fahrenheit temperatures, e.g., 72, 68.  They only show odd numbers, e.g., 73, 75, 77, 79, 81.   I've never set them to Celsius.

**Q: What size batteries?**
A: One AA alkaline battery, ideal.  Size is one of most commonly available.  Lasts longer than AAA.  Many similar portable digital humidity-temperature devices use smaller button batteries, which are less available and more problematic to replace correctly.

**Q: Does it display historically highs and lows, or only from the last day or so?**
A: It resets every 24 hours from when you put in the battery. I deliberately pulled the battery one night so that the data would reset for each day when I wanted it to.

**Q: I'm thinking of using this hygrometer to keep track of the humidity in my acoustic guitar's case. Do you think it would work well for this purpose?**
A: I keep one in my guitar case, one in my banjo case, and one in the room I play music in (for when the instruments are not in a case).  You may have to play with the geometry a slight bit to find the best place to put it in the instrument case but they work well for that purpose.
