It's not. I have a MacBook Air, which is one of the smallest 13" laptops on the market, and it does NOT fit through the zipper opening. I can jam it in with a great deal of effort, but it takes time and the metal zipper scratches against the laptop because it's such a tight fit. The bag is not tight once the laptop is inside -- only the zipper opening is too small. One time I actually jammed my MacBook Air in there, I ended up dropping the bag on asphalt and the laptop's edge got badly dinged up even though it was IN the bag. The bottom of the sleeve has no padding. So basically this is worthless as a laptop bag.
