Jlove 'em ... ust a bit too long for me.
I have always worn 36x 36 pants. These pants i ordered a size shorter and they fit perfect. I have been wearing carharys for about 20 years. They last and are very comfortaglble. I like the heavy weight for winter and the lighter weight for summer.

High quality
For work , these could not be more comfortable. They are built of high quality and very sturdy. I wear these daily five days a week and have stuff in all the pockets. The phone pocket is very convenient and holds your cellphone very well. I forgot to take it out one day when riding my harley home and left the phone in the pocket and when I got home it was still there. So now I leave it in the pocket every day when I ride my harley to work and ride it home. The knees are double layered which gives a slight cushion when you do have to get down on your knees to get something. My only drawback is they do not have a 36th length in my size 40 waist. When standing, they look just right length. But when sitting down they ride high. Do too missing a thirty six inch length. This is my only drawback to wearing these pants.

Runs small
Overall great work pants with good flexibility and plenty of leg room. they run a little small so it's better to size up a size.

My go-to CA Fall hunting pants
These pants are well made, durable, and comfortable. I use them primarily for Fall deer hunting in California, where the typical temperature in mid-October is anywhere from 50-65 degrees, typically. These pants are durable. I've had 4-5 pairs for years and none of them have fallen apart, despite being subjected to trips, slips, falls, snares, snags, and other abuse while hiking/hunting through deep brush, scrub oaks, game trails, etc.The only critique or word of warning I have, which has been echoed by others, is that the waste runs small. You'll want to go one size up. If you're a 36 waist, order a 38 waist, and so on. The length is perfect, in my experience.

Classic Carhartt Quality and Great Functionality
These pants are great: Carhartt quality (stitching, zippers, material, etc.), functionality (the pockets and their placement are no accident), fit, and style. They have solid stitching, strong zippers, and material that doesn't wilt at the sight of something abrasive or pointed. They're not exactly summer material, but they're not too thick to wear on a hot day--maybe that has a lot to do with the cotton canvas material. They feel like a lightweight painters drop cloth, if you ask me. I can tell someone other than a fashion designer (that's a good thing, for purposes of my comment here) thought about the pockets. They're sized and placed practicably. I don't get much use out of the hammer/tool hanger loops, especially the larger one (the one on the right is wider than the one on the left). One of the best features of these pants is the fit. They sit where pants are supposed to sit (on a guy, anyway). I'm not sure what the proper definition is as far as "at the waist" or "slight at the waist." I just know I don't have to "part the boys and choose a side" when I want to wear these pants where I feel naturally comfortable wearing them! Lastly, the style is a good balance between "I actually do something for a living" and "I spend more time than I'd like in an office chair." I work at a place where I could be in a meeting with business-like folks one minute, and called out into the field at a construction site the next, and these pants live up to both worlds. Depending on the stiffness of your management, you might be able to sneak these in on business casual day with a nice polo or button-down. I own pairs of the tan, light-brown, and army green pants. The tan ones are the "fanciest" looking of the three and are really an off-white shade. The light brown pants are lighter than the picture shows, which isn't a bad thing. The army green pants are also lighter than the picture, not too far from the color of a used military seabag--I guess it's slightly muted olive drab.

Something changed over the years.
Something has changed with these beloved Carhartt Men's Loose Fit Canvas Utility Work Pant. I have several pairs from years ago in 36x32 and they still fit me comfortably and perfectly. But this newer version (if that's the case) does NOT fit like it did. I've recently bought three pairs to eventually replace my older pants, and I find these to be more like 35x33. I can barely button them, and the cuffs drag. And I'm still the same weight for the past decade, and I'm pretty sure my legs haven't shortened. When I button an old and a new, and then stretch the waists together and compare, the newer pants are a bit over 1 inch less wide. Also, the material is a little different. It's very slightly thinner and less "work pant" material, but that's actually fine by me.Otherwise the style of the pant is unchanged, so it you can be happy with your sizing there's nothing to not like. But if you're replacing older versions, you might want to consider what I've found to be about one inch too small and one inch too long.

These are great pants for me!
I've been wearing the heavier B11 for decades. And as those decades have passed I have been getting much older. I realized (I'm now 78) that I no longer need the B11 toughness...that I'm no longer a tough guy. So I did my Carhartt research and decided that the B151 pants would be good going forward. I just received my first pair and am very satisfied. My smartphone fits in the right leg pocket. My suspenders clip on properly. The fit is essentially exactly as the B11. The pants are a lighter fabric...which is nice...but I feel that the toughness that I need is there. So, my bottom line is that I'm going to order 6-8 more pairs of these, and then I'm going to try to outlive them.Cheers

Order 1” larger in the waist.
The waist runs small, just like many reviews stated. I wear a 34” waist, ordered a 35” and fits great!
