Glymnis Pop Up Beach Tent 1-4 Person, UV Protection Beach Sun Shelter Tent

We used this beach tent during a family day out and it was really useful for having somewhere shaded to sit and keep our things away from the direct sun. It is surprisingly lightweight at just over 1 kg, and the round carry bag makes it easy enough to take along with the rest of the beach stuff. The best part is definitely the pop-up design, which makes it very easy to assemble as it opens almost instantly without having to assemble poles. At 185 x 140 x 115 cm there is a decent amount of space inside, especially when the front door is unzipped and used as an extended area. The silver-coated material provides UPF 50+ protection, which was one of the main reasons I wanted it. I also like that the front can be completely zipped up, which gives some privacy if somebody needs to change clothes. There is a mesh window at the back for ventilation, and the supplied sandbags, ropes and pegs give several options for securing it outside. Folding it back down takes a little understanding of the correct technique, but once you know the movement it becomes much easier. Overall, a lightweight, durable and practical little shelter for beach days, picnics or spending time in the garden.

Nice tent. The tent was very easy to erect in 3 mins without instructions. The material is reflective so keeps it cooler inside than expected. There is a zip on the left side which allows access or breeze, there are also two windows on the other two sides to allow a through breeze. To collapse it took about 1 min to understand what to do by squeezing the two apex trusses together. There was no struggle to get the tent in the bag it zipped up easily. There was a loose thread on the zip door where the sewing start stop had occurred but closer inspection showed it was double sewn for several inches so was all good. I put the thread to the inside and cut it off. The bag is easy to carry and I see no problems with this version of the pop up tent.

Got this for the beach. Takes less than 2 mins to put up and put away. Really good quality. On a sandy beach might need some longer pegs. We put all our beach gear in it so didnt need the pegs. And we got changed in it at the end of the day. I'm 5'9 and had plenty of room to dry off and change.

Wow! Lightweight and easy to carry as the bag has handles. Waterproof instructions sewn inside bag for packing away, it wasn't very difficult, we tried it a few times! Comes with guy ropes and tent pegs to anchor into sand, if it's a bit windy and sand bags either side to weight the tent down. These additions will make the stability of the tent even better. A window with a cover at the back (velcro and toggles), a fully zipped front for privacy or leave it open for more ground sheet area. Also a handy hook inside for hanging swimmies when wet. Have only had it up in the lounge but seems strong and sturdy. Great for beach days where there's not much shade or cover. Plenty of space for two people to sit up or lie down. Great appearance, blue colour really stands out. Very reasonably priced at less than £30. A very good buy.

We bought this tent last year to go to lots of different beaches in the summer and we love it! It provides you with a bit of privacy and protection when you’re so exposed on a beach in the sun, I chose the bigger size as I’m 5ft11 and wanted there to be enough space for myself and my son to relax when needed, it’s easy to put up and down when you’ve had a bit of practice and I love that you get the attached sand bags to keep it secure if it’s windy! It survived me dragging it up and down a beach when the tide came in unexpectedly fast and then went back down again and I think the value for money is great for the size of it! I love the bright blue as well, it was very visible to see where our tent was whilst we went for a swim!

A Brilliant Pop up Beach tent it's good quality, with storage pockets inside and Sandbag pockets outside,it has giropes and metal pegs and is UV 50+ sun protection has a lovely window which is good for airflow and zip door which is good for when you want to use it for changing,it pops up quickly and is very easy to fold up and put back into the bag I can do it in 2 minutes, it's worth looking at the Utube video and practice at home a few times before using it, I highly recommend this if you are looking for a good quality 2 people tent, I shall take it to the beach soon

I read lots of reviews before buying this tent for my little granddaughter to use whilst away in Turkey last week (very hot 32 degrees). The tent was an absolute godsend, apart from doing lots of swimming she sat in the tent for most of the other times colouring, watching her iPad and playing with her Peppa Pig figures and keeping out of the hot sun. In fact she made friends’ with another little girl (4 years old) and they both played in there together. There was plenty of room for both of them to lay down and both could stand up in the tent (both the girls are quite tall for their ages (3+4 years old). The carry bag was very portable and fitted into my large suitcase no problem. I was impressed with the quality and the stitching and had no damage or problems to report after using it everyday on holiday. The front of the tent can be zipped up for privacy although I preferred keeping the front down (has double zips which are very good). Because the grassed area where I sited the tent was in the shadows for a lot of the day I didn’t have to open up the back part of the tent which has a mesh window but this is a nice option for ventilation. I found folding the tent very easy and I became very proficient after the first day - basically don’t force the tent, if you’ve got it in the right position it literally collapses in easily. The folding instructions are clear and sewn into the bag. I’d probably suggest having a couple of practices before taking it out somewhere. When opening the tent, it has an elastic strap that holds the tent in place and flat, be careful as you remove this as the tent springs open very quickly. The tent is supplied with guy ropes as well as metal tent pegs - I only used the tent pegs to keep the tent in place on the grass. The metal pegs are quite “soft” and one or two of mine bent easily when I was trying to push them into the ground. I feel this is an absolute bargain for the money, it is a well made sun tent and would highly recommend this to anyone. I’m fortunate enough to be going away to Egypt in November with my Granddaughter and will definitely be taking this amazing little tent!

I ordered this tent for use on the beach and was impressed at how easy it was to assemble, however when it came to folding it up it's a totally different story. Although I read the instructions and watched the video numerous times, it is absolutely impossible to fold up despite many attempts. I eventually gave up and decided to return it to Amazon however it would not fit in the box or even a much bigger box so I couldn't even have it collected, so Amazon agreed that it would be best to simply bin it. Awful tent, this item should not be advertised for sale as it is not fit for purpose and is a massive headache. Friendly advice: Avoid at all costs if you would like to avoid elevated blood pressure!

Great little pop up tent, we have used it at the park, beach, splash park, gives us the space and privacy needed. Kids are able to play in it, I am 5”3 and able to sit in it comfortably with my two kids both under 5yrs. It can be zipped closed so kids can change out of wet beach clothes into dry ones. Cannot see through the material. Sun does not come in. Has a nice window option at the back of the tent. Great for camping to if you tent or have a smaller trailer kids can change in that and it’s easy to keep clean just give it a shake. Comes with pegs and string to help hold it in place in the ground, it is very light so on a very windy day I can see it not staying in place to nicely but we have had it out on a windy day and it was ok. Comes with instructions how to fold it and YouTube videos , I have zero issues with folding it up, but I did practice at home a few times before taking it out but have zero issues or trouble putting it away. Comes with a nice carry bag I often place it in my storage in the stroller when we leave, so convenient and easy to set up and take down. Very pleased with the purchased item.

You can tell from the photos that the wind is blowing pretty hard. The tent is pushed in on one side, but that was OK because it protected my husband from the wind and we were all able to put our things inside while we were enjoying the beach. We took it with us on our cruise and I have to say it was a purchase we all appreciated. No need to purchase beach chairs. We found a nice open spot away from crowds and had a shady spot to watch the waves and you can even zip it all the way up and change if need be. It was perfect! The inside has mesh pockets to put anything you need on hand. We put our drinks, sun screen and seashells in there and the pockets on the outside were great because we filled them with sand and it didn’t move. It’s pretty lightweight, so easy enough to carry long distances and it has tent pegs too in case you have a grassy area to pop it up in. It is SO easy to set up but you definitely need some fitness for putting it back. The directions do help, you just don’t want to force it because it could potentially cause damage or create integrity issues. We also love the extra loops on the outside, as you can see from the pictures we added a little sun block of our own as an extra shield and that worked fabulously as well as for hanging wet items. All in all, LOVE this tent! 12/23/2025 We took it on its second big trip in September. We went to the beach of Ocean Cay. A torrential downpour came in. It rained so hard that water was dripping from the top of the tent and flooded inside because the wind and rain were going all different directions including sideways. While everything got super wet, the tent still stood. I’m sure the fact that I was sitting in it also helped, but it became upright again once all the rain and wind went away. Then the sun came back out and dried everything completely in less than an hour! I always put our important things that shouldn’t get wet into Ziploc’s, so nothing was ruined. Still love this tent and can’t wait to use it again next month! I’ll let you know how it goes. It’s a perfect bit of shade in a shadeless area!

Cette tente est parfaite! Utilisée à la plage de l'espiguette qui à un sable très très fin, elle est bien restée en place grâce aux sardines (je doutais vraiment que ça puisse tenir) malgré un léger vent de bord de mer, vraiment aucun soucis, se met en place et se repli extrêmement facilement, un vrai bonheur à utiliser!
