What is the difference between this and the sport tuned motor?

The standard 540 (silver), the Torque Tuned and the Sport Tuned motors all have 27 turns. However they have very different end bell timing. For this reason Tamiya claims them to be respectively 27t, 25t and 23t. The reality is that the Torque tuned is a 27t with a somewhat aggressive timing which makes it a lot sportier than the stock silver motors. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how to fix a gearing issue? I’ve inspected everything and no errors. My car is grinding. I had 1 recent crash that started the grind

Gears must mesh together very tight in model car racing. You must check how those gears mesh and use molybdenum grease to facilitate smooth and noiseless ride. Otherwise, replace those grinder ones.

Does it fit a traxxas stampede 2wd ?

While this may work, the physical size of the motor (540) is smaller than the standard Traxxas motor (550). Also,the Traxxas is a 12 turn while the Tamiya is only a 25 turn - lacks the torque of the Traxxas.

Is this compatible with a Black Foot Truck?

Yes both the torque tuned and sport tuned motors work in the Blackfoot, I have both motors and they work great.

Great Upgrade for Tamiya Cars

This motor is underrated. Everyone thinks they need to upgrade these to TZ/RZ/BZ 23T or 19T aftermarket or brushless motors. I used to be like that. I have recently used these with the lowest FDR possible in a Tamiya car and then use NiMh, 2S Lipo, and 3S Lipo to control how much speed I want. Tamiya does all of their R&D on their cars with these motors and it is evident. I am seeing great performance by sticking with these over more expensive aftermarket ones. They're also fairly priced.
