how many comes in the bag

I ordered this product in December 2018 and only 4x 1.25” diameter pads arrived. I repeat: only four pads. Buy a different item if you want more than four.

is the backing easy to peel off?

Yes. The back is easy to peel off.

Is the adhesive side white or dark brown like the felt side?

As far as I can remember, mine were light tan on both sides - there are 2 pictures on the website, one dark brown and one tan. I can't explain that. Maybe some of the larger, heavier duty ones re the dark color
