good quality jacket cheaper than others available in australia

The leather is ok... but the shirt part doesn't take any sparks at all. I run these type of weld jackets 90% of the time and they usually last a few months.... this one made 2 days before the cloth part looked like swiss cheese.

This is a great product. The arms are pretty lightweight compared to a previous jacket I wore. I bought this for gouging and use a lightweight fire retardant jacket for most of my other welding/robot welding. There was also a 3 year protection deal available, which if you’ve been welding for awhile you realize your clothing doesn’t really last very long. Fit was great think I bought a large, I’m a gym monkey 5’9 210lbs. Highly suggest this product, black stallion never fails.

Nice jacket

This welding jacket has worked very well for me. I am only just starting to learn how to weld, so I do not have a lot of experience with other types of welding jackets, but this does everything I need. I like that the leather sleeves provide very good protection against weld splatter and accidental brushes against hot parts. They are however very warm (kind of the nature of welding though). The fabric chest and body portion does help to cool the overall jacket down. It is fall time right now, but I might have to buy an additional jacket for summer time, which wouldn't be nearly as protective, but a little cooler. They are fairly true to size, if not a little big. However I normally wear a large, and the only option was XL. I figured the extra space wouldn't hurt for the ability to wear layers underneath during the winter time, and it certainly will allow for that. I am 6'4" tall, and the majority of my height comes from my torso. I was very happy to find out that the length is very reasonable. It will reach well below my belt level, which is very rare for me. All sewn seams are very well done, and look like I will not have to worry about any of them falling apart. The only change I would look for next time would be the addition of some "hand pockets" for the storage of pliers or other small hand tools. It does have a pencil pocket on each sleeve, which can be very handy, but the ability to have a couple small tools would be ideal (but not a requirement). I would highly recommend this jacket, especially for the big and tall welder.
