I great way to celebrate St. Pat's Day in Chicago.
Just what I expected when reading this book; it was filled with many surprises and great coverage of this great annual tradition on the far south side of Chicago.

Not what I was looking for
I grew up on the south side of Chicago and remember as a very little girl watching the original South Side Irish parade go past the apartment I lived in with my family at 79th and Racine. I was hoping for pictures and stories of that parade along with the more famous one that used to take place on Western Avenue years later. This book give the original parade barely a mention in the introduction so I was very disappointed. If you want information about the Western Ave parade this book is for you but it wasn't what I has looking for.
