Love to have these on hand. They add a great flavor to dishes when I amm out of fresh chivs.

These are great for adding to dishes. I just wish there was more flavor to them. The price was good for the amount.

Wonderful smell, feel fresh, dry

2 ounces doesn't sound like much, but this is a pretty good sized bag. For the people that didn't think it had much flavor, cooking with dried herbs is a little different than fresh. A general rule is 1/3 the amount of dried herbs than fresh herbs you'd use (not always, but usually). If you'd use a tablespoon of fresh herbs, then about a teaspoon of dried herbs. Dried is more concentrated. After a while, you'll know how much feels right.Dried needs to be reconstituted a bit. You can use a small amount of hot water for a few minutes. If I'm sprinkling herbs over something, I always rub them between my hands and brush them on, out of my hands. You'll see cooks on TV doing that sometimes. It brings out the oils in the herbs more and makes it a little more pungent. You don't have to do that, but who doesn't love those wonderful pungent herbal smells?If you're using this in something like a dip or sour cream for a baked potato or something, mix it in the sour cream and refrigerate a few hours for the best flavor. That rehydrates the chives and brings out the flavor.I use this in all kinds of dishes and it's wonderful. They're great in all kinds of eggs, besides potato dishes, casseroles, dips & garnishes. It's also good to put a little in melted butter to dip crusty bread in or use on chicken. I'm sure you can find some that are better, but the price can't be beat for the quality and quantity you're getting.I recommend this and thank you for reading my review.

I could not find freeze dried chives anywhere, very suddenly it seemed. Use it for homemade ranch dressing and learned I really liked the flavor. Arrived quickly and very reasonably priced!
