11 Gauge Steel Hog Rings

I didn't stop to think how heavy 11GA is and they may be a bit heavy for my use, especially since they are also larger in other dimensions than the information available seemed to indicate. The ones I just received are a 5/8 inch opening not the 1/2 inch opening the seller gave in answer to a question. They are also significantly bigger in other dimensions than most with a 1/2 inch opening so I am disappointed. The inside dimension the long way or side to side is 1-1/16 inch on every one I measured. That said, if you are using these for fencing they will likely be just what you want in size. Large and heavy enough to hold well on any fence. They are steel and shiny but I don't think they are galvanized or protected from rusting in any way, which it seems you might want for fencing.The ends appear to be cut with a dull tool. They have ragged sharp edges that could be an issue in some applications.
