Works well in the real world! TOUGH tool!
From experience I learned that just because a tool or knife or gear looks all heavy duty and like it will survive anything means nothing until you are in a real world situation where you are depending on it! I've had gear that looks awesome tough and then the single time I REALLY need it it fails, especially no-name CHINA crap. You survival, camping and prepper guys know what I'm talking about! I bought this kit because my tires are too large on my truck to fit a spare. I thought at least this will be better than nothing. I had it on my truck for a couple years when one day the mail lady comes rolling up to my place with a rubber to the rim flat tire. Her cheap old tires got a good size hole on my rural road. I thought perfect chance to check out this kit! I went to use the reamer but the hole was already larger than the tools diameter! I inserted a plug and added some air, she still had a slow leak but was able to finish her route and get home safely! It worked great! A few months later I noticed a slow leak on my truck tire. If my truck sat a week my rear tire would be flat. I would pump it up when I needed the truck but that was a hassle. One day after doing so I came home, it was raining and when I got out of the truck I heard a hissing noise. Great! Air was bubbling out of the leak. Nice find! I marked it and a couple days later I set out to make the repair! I tried to insert the reamer and there was no way it would penetrate my awesome 10PLY 35x12 Toyo R/T tires!!!! I used all my strength but it would not go in! There was a piece of 2x4 nearby about 2' long. I started beating the handle of the reamer with it but it was difficult to hold it steady with one hand and beat on it with the other. Still would not go in. Finally I went inside and got a large heavy duty rubber mallet. With my forearms flexing and holding it with all my strength I was able to beat the reamer into the tire and work up a sweat at the same time. When I was finished it was a nice flush solid plug. The plug came out perfect, looked like a professional job. No problems since. Well there you have my long story. The tool is the real deal, I was sure the shaft of the reamer would snap or the handle crack off like other cheap but tough looking tools but this one IS TOUGH! So refreshing to have this experience. Too many times I buy things and they fail early on. The kit is great that it has the lube, the pliers, the valve stem wrench, etc. One last thing to mention, it also took some force to push the string in, the string is also high quality! If it was cheap it would have broken before inserting into the tire! You might want to keep a good rubber mallet in your vehicle.

This kit has saved me hundreds of dollars in tires!
I have had this kit for 2-3 years now and have used it to fix 3 tires. Two tires are on my Kubota light tractor - rear fluid filled tire and front tire - both turf tires. Both ended up getting a stick/thorn in them that caused slow leaks. Fixed them both with this kit and the repairs have lasted 1-2 years. I also just temporarily fixed an SUV car tire enough so I can get it to a shop to get a new set of tires. I had it in and the shop said the nail was too close to the side wall and it was a slower leak so I ordered tired and scheduled install but before the tires came in the leak started to get worse and I had to path it. I patched with this kit just to hold me over for a few days - worked well. I wouldn't recommend a car tire fix with this kit as I don't feel it is intended for that kind of fix but maybe. Anyway, for off-road tires I would definitely recommend. Awesome kit and easy to use.

Nice complete kit
I love that this kit has everything you need to do a roadside tire puncture repair, and is all contained in a decent case. Previously I had a simple Slime repair kit and while that did a fine job of sealing punctures, it lacked some tools that you need to finish the job (pliers, knife). It also didn't come with a case, so I was keeping everything in a zip-loc bag. When my wife's car got a screw through a tire and started slowly leaking, I decided to plug it but could not find what was left of my old kit, so I purchased this kit for same-day delivery. It did a fantastic job of sealing the puncture. It has been a week since I plugged the leak and the tire has not lost any air. The only negative thing I can say about this kit is that the reamer's diameter is much larger than I have dealt with in the past, so using it when sealing small punctures is pretty difficult. The typical nail or screw you'd pick up will make a much smaller hole than this reamer, and using the reamer to expand such a small hole is tough. It would be nice if they offered multiple reamer and plug sizes or offered another kit with a smaller reamer. Since there are other companies that sell smaller reamer kits I may just purchase one of their $10 reamer and plug kits and toss the contents in this kit's case.

Nice solid kit
I’ve used this plug kit quite afew times now and it works really well. Everything feels heavy duty and solid, not cheap and plastic like some of the other tire plug kits out there. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and makes plugging a tire easy. Definitely worth having in ur truck just incase

Still Holding Up After 30,000 Miles
I'm a civil engineer, drive 22,000 miles each year, and visit a lot of construction sites. Bought my first Boulder Tools Tire Kit in 2018. Used it the first time to repair a rear tire on my Porsche Macan Turbo. The repair was still holding, no leaks whatsoever after 22,000 miles when I replaced all 4 tires. Used it to repair 2 tires on my old Lexus GX470 work truck. Again, no leaks after more than 30,000 hard miles - still holding strong when I traded it in for my new Lexus GX460 work truck last year. Have had to repair 2 tires on my new truck in the past 13 months. Over 8,000 hard miles on the first repair. Both repairs still holding strong, no leaks whatsoever. For all you folks who work around construction, you should consider putting one of these in your truck. It's simple and quick. The self-vulcanizing plugs are still sticky and pliable after 7 years, and they don't need rubber cement. They vulcanize in a matter of seconds, so there's no need to wait before you start driving on it. The plug will be ready to go before you are. Just bought a second kit last year to keep in my wife's car. It came with 30 plugs as opposed to 15 with the original kit. Pro Tip: It only took 1 plug each time for the first 4 repairs, but they were all done during warm temperatures. It was 42 degrees when I did that 5th repair this week, and I broke 4 plugs while trying to push them into the puncture hole - pushed them so hard the insertion tool cut them in half and I had to pull them out with pliers. On the 5th plug, I put a little of the included lube on the 1/2 inch of the plug next to both sides of the insertion tool just to get it started, and that did the trick. The part of the plug with the lube ended up inside the tire so the part actually touching the tire self-vulcanized just as fast and tight as the others. One last thing: it will be much easier to insert the plug if the tire has at least 25 psi before you start pushing. To do this, I leave the reaming tool (spiral probe) in the puncture and pump the tire up to 35 psi. Then I quickly remove the reamer and start inserting the plug. The air stops leaking as soon as the plug just touches the hole, so not much air pressure is lost. And there it is. Keep on truckin'.
