FashnPoint Burlap Printed Paper Placemats 50 Per Pack

I like a plain craft paper disposable placemat for all holidays. I like to write names on them, and decorate them specifically for the holiday. We also serve BBQ a lot and I don’t need my table linens stained by guests messier than my family. However, the plain craft paper ones aren’t available currently on Amazon. I’d bought these before, so I knew I liked them less than craft paper, but I settled.What I like:1. Their little perforation-like quality makes them a little more padded to set plates on than a regular craft paper placemat.2. Their textured look may add a rustic tone to your decor, if you want that.What I don’t like:1. They’re shipped all by themselves with no plastic around them, or even a piece of cardboard on either side of them to keep them flat, unwrinkled and from flying apart. This is simply stupid. (Unlike craft paper placemats, these are flimsy and more tissue-like, so don’t retain shape if you pick up by a corner.) THEN Amazon put them in an ENVELOPE, rather than a box. So you have 50 super lightweight pieces of paper floating around in an envelope in shipment. When I opened them, there were about a dozen or more that had slipped from the pile so their edges were folded and they were useless as placemats. So I had to trash about 1/4 of the order upon arrival. Then I had to search for a place to store them that if anyone dare touch them, they wouldn’t swish out of place and become wrinkled and useless. I don’t have a spare piece of cardboard currently to cut to size, and I have no spare drawer that large. I set them on a shelf where things get staged, and set stuff on them in hopes they’ll weight them down and no one will be rough in the area and mutilate more placemats before I use them on Easter Sunday. I’ll never buy them again for these reasons. Sadly, I’d consider buying them again if the seller had simply actually put them in ANY kind of gathering/sturdying container. Any kind whatsoever. I’ve never had loose things shipped like this to me before.2. You can’t write or draw on them. They’re too soft and poofy and flimsy.

I like these super soft paper placemats. We bought them to use at home. I read most of the reviews and I think some of those people had the notion of what they wanted in their head and expected these placemats to fulfill their idea of the ideal paper placemat. It would be nice if they were wipeable so if you had a small drip you could clean it and use again. But for the price and the fact that the mfg says they are made from 100% recycled tissue makes they a good product.For a single use, like a party, they would be ideal. Also on a tray they would give the dinnerware a non-slide surface. At a glance they really do look like real burlap. Glad I bought them.

Cheap placements. I bought these for the summer for entertaining guests outdoors. The placemats are not heavy duty, but thin paper. They had indentation marks on the top of them which showed all the way through to the middle of the pile, as well as the corner was folded when I received them, which also showed on most of them. The color is more gold than tan. Decided to keep instead of going through the hassle of returning them.

I’m a decorator. I bought these for a banquet to feed ~200 people. It was an appreciation lunch so I wanted it to look good. I had missy garland down long tables and these “burlap” placemats. They look just like burlap and have a texture to them so they didn’t look cheap. They are very thin, but for one meal disposable mats, they held up just fine. I would use these for a wedding or other nice event without hesitation.

Perfect nice large size, true to color and nice thick quality. Very pleased.

These are so real looking. I unfortunately was unable to use them at the event intended due to it being windy and they just blew off the tables but they did look amazing. They do wrinkle very easily so I kept them in the package until the event day. The wrinkles do come out if you place a towel on top and use a iron on low heat. I will save this for our next indoor event where there isn't wind to worry about.

Due to the fact that they are easy to tear or puncture the packaging they came in was not sturdy enough to completely protect them. 3 or 4 on each side (top,and bottom) were damaged and I will not be able to use them.

Wow! They look so real! I hoped they would but being just paper to throw out after we use them I was worried how they would actually look. They are amazing. I’m picky too. Perfect for rehearsal dinner placemats!!
