Leakproof, 3 Compartment, Bento Lunch Box, Airtight Food Storage Container (1 Pc) - Blue

Love these! I am a review reader and appreciate good reviews that are insightful about a certain products quality. I purchased these sunsella lunch containers for my 4 yr old preschool ago is attending prek this fall- we pack lunches each day and so I wanted a container that:1. he could open in his own2. Could be tossed around in a lunch box and not leak3. Have individual compartments that keep each content from leaking into the other compartments4. One compartment could hold a full sandwich (many bento boxes didn't have this)I made two lunches and out apples sauce, yogurt and cut up strawberries in each compartment. My two kids (4.5/2.5 yrs held their lunches from the house, to the car, in the car and back out to the park. When we returned home my 2 yr old still needed to finish his lunch so I opened his for him. I was very happy to see that it could hold up to high standards. The apple sauce stayed in place and any liquid from the strawberries! I added pictures for you to see. I have bought 3 of these as I have 5 lunches a week to make abs I want to rotate them and not always have to wash and reuse- I have a clean one or two to use! I would definitely buy these again!

It's my first day using this box and I am highly impressed! My day's schedule is packed from 6am to 6pm, so the last thing I need is to worry about my lunch getting all over my bag! I've packed my lunch for a very long time, using multiple small containers that clashed, leaked, got warped in the dishwasher etc. I was tired of it! This product already had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. It's amazing! The big box holds 2 slices of pizza. The 2 smaller compartments are a bit different in size too. One held my mango (a very juicy fruit) and another held frozen edamame. I would know if there was leakage because all these foods have very different flavors and textures. I was amazed that it didn't leak! My mango stayed in place, even all the sticky juice stayed in its compartment and didn't leak out or between compartments. My frozen edamame thawed perfectly, and didn't even condense on the outside of the box! And my pizza was neither crushed nor soggy! It was very easy to open and apply the lid. The box is not so huge that I'd feel uncomfortable feeding it to an olde child, but there's plenty of room for a filling meal and even a snack or 2. I'm very impressed and I'm very much looking forward to using this again!

Update: When I saw these were back in stock I quickly ordered another, but with trepidation since the first had cracked open on the bottom. I tried out a few stainless bento boxes, but everything ends up mixed together when I use them. The second box I purchased (in January) has also broken after about 3 months of use. I'm tempted to order a third since I haven't found a better alternative, but I'm sure it will only last 3 months. Maybe that's acceptable for $13, but be aware that even without putting this in the dishwasher it will not last through a school year. My goal is to decrease plastic bags or wrappers from snacks by using this, but if I'm going to toss it every 3 months it isn't accomplishing that goal.*******************************************I only bought one of these to try out for my son in his first year of K. After a few weeks of daily use it is holding up very nicely, is easy to open and close for him, is easy for me to clean, and fits perfectly in his lands end lunchbox. I figured I'd grab a few more and start packing one for my husband and I or have an extra on hand just in case his lunchbox didn't make it home. They are out of stock and I can't find anything else that looks comparable that isn't gladware like or $30+

Great container! Perfect size for a sandwich and any two sides you like even if it is a liquid type side. Note this is my second one purchased. Why did I buy another because the clips broke. I looked for another container but unfortunately none had the same good features (large compartments, seal, and price). I didn’t expect it to last a lifetime but I didn’t expect the clips to break so easy.I am updating my review the second container has broken. Same issue, mind you my 7 yr old son is the one using it daily. I bumped my rating up 1 star not for the container it does have flaws at least for a 7 yr old. I bumped it up because they company selling the container was really great refunded my for both my purchases and showed true concern about my experience. Again the container has great features and maybe an adult wouldn’t have such issue as my son has.

I have been looking far and wide for a replacement for Ziploc's compartment containers that were discontinued. I need lunch containers to be leakproof so I can send yogurts and applesauce, messy fruit, etc. I purchased one container to try and decided they were a good replacement and bought three more. They are leakproof, keeping even applesauce and separated yogurt contained. I don't have to press the lid on in a special way to make it leakproof. The lids are tricky and I would guess my kid in kindergarten is having a teacher help her replace the lid, but my 3rd grader can put the lid on herself. The only downside is the price. It's a nice container, but not $14 nice. Ziploc took the hint and started making their compartmentalized containers again (3/$4 approx), but I prefer these because the lid latches on. We've been using the Sunsella containers weekly for about 4 or 5 months, and they have not warped in the dishwasher or cracked or become damaged in any way yet. Overall happy, especially that they are truly leakproof.
