I already have a set of pom-pom makers (actually I have two), so the pom-pom making abilities of this device were irrelevant to me. I bought it strictly to make tassels.It does a fantastic job of that. You can make them out of anything - yarn, 2mm satin cord, embroidery thread, macramé cord - and you will get a nice even tassel. Don't be afraid to think outside the box when finishing the top, either. Besides using your tassel material, you can use metallic thread, pipe cleaners, lightweight metal strips, even fishing line if you want an "invisible" tie-off.The size range is great, everything from tiny tassels to big fancy ones for your drapes.I thought it was overpriced for what was, to me, a single-use tool. I have changed my mind, and now consider it a bargain, because it helps you quickly make very impressive tassels. No winter scarf is safe from the Mad Tasseler!

The metal prongs bent inwards so the pom poms come out uneven, and the prongs aren't long enough to make a dense thick pom pom... But it does make for fast loose pom poms and tassels.

One thing I really like about this pom pom maker is that I can make a large variety of sizes. One of the downfalls is that I find that after a while the metal pegs bend. Overall, it is pretty useful, just don't pull the yarn too tightly.

Love it alot ! it is about 14 inches long mine is orange has 13 peg holes in it to place pegs. you can make pom poms up to 8 inches in size. I found it very easy to use I simply placed the two pegs that are stored inside of the pom pom maker into the size I wanted to make and wrapped my yarn. was able to tie it before removing. This product is made from a hard plastic and will last for years with proper use.

Did everything advertised. Well constructed, should last a long time. Wife loves 'em. She makes a lot of teddy bears.

At first I felt like this might be an unnecessary purchase since you can make pom poms and fringe in other ways, but this thing is super neat! Its really easy to use and your craft will turn out perfectly. I definitely recommend it, although it does take up a lot of room in my bag.

Perfect for making tassels, what is great about this is that it is cheap and works. You can make them long or short. I am sure can be used for other things also, but I use this to make tassels for my hand knitted scarfs and shawls that I sell on Dragonfly Knitwear.
